no love for kobe monje? if jun roque moves to letran he will steal some of monje’s minutes. incidentally both were teammates with the squires with only monje being recruited by the knights.

Its not that haha kobe monje was just used more as a 3 or small ball 4, to be fair if he had developed ball handling skills he may have played as a 2 pa since the shooting and passing is already there. And yes you're right if they get roque, thats why I don't see coming back as well and might turn pro early. He's one of a couple letran guys in playing the PSL already.

Lol at Bataller. He was part of the Sorsogon Bubble and also was one of the most vocal about their experiences there and yet he still cant find a role with Letran.

To be fair, he had a role naman, he was twinning with Javillonar with all his antics, he was the designated goon when javillonar wasnt on the floor lmao hahahaha

No more SGL for season 100

Do u guys think this will affect the attractiveness of playing in the NCAA?

They always say that UAAP schools give higher allowances & perks. NC players get SGL and play after the season is done is one way to augment the NCAA schools' lower allowances.

It will and its one of the cons. But personally i'm kinda mixed with it. Having them play as SGL help in a player's development. Most of the guys that were suprising good in the ncaa last year, played as SGL so it does help. But of course there's more risk for injury and the load it adds to a student athlete may take its toll. Anyways i think this will only affect those playing in mpbl and other league that were deemed pro by GAB. So maybe in other league they can still play but of course there will be a question of lowered pay and quality of competition. Players naman can still play in these leagues as part of a school based team like what CSB is doing in the PSL.

Banning SGLs but basically having no residency will make things a wash personally.

Looks like Ncaa is also looking at copying uaap's rules in member schools transfers which is forfeiture of one playing year due to residency.

It is my understanding that SGL is for pro leagues only. NC players may still play individually in pba d league or PSL amateur conference but can not play anymore in MPBL and PBA on tour.

What are the requirements for them to consider a team school based? Minimum number of players?

How about the AsiaBasket in Malaysia where SBU and CSB participated last year?

If im not mistaken, all players should be from the school. No guest players in the team. Thats what beda, dlsu and ceu did last year in the pba dleague. Csb also using only their own players in the PSL.

Not sure what the designation of Filbasket/Asiabasket is gotta check Jai Reyes on that. They don't do the season type format like what mpbl does instead opting for seasonal for tournaments. But as lomg as they joined as a team, it shouldnt be an issue.

Cocolife was once the main sponsor of the Red Cubs. Superfriends sila ng Phenom. Lol.

The son of one of its top executive used to play for the Red Cubs is now with the Tiger Cubs (Lanze Ronquillo). The new assistant coach Raisal Castro also has a son who was once a Red Cub, and now a Tiger Cub.
