NCAA Season 100

I think John Tagocon (6'9) has a more promising season compare to Owen right now, he has been getting his minutes already in Mapua. He registered efficient 4 pts in 4 minutes on their 2pt lead win against SBU today. It might be small thing to look on but baby steps for a project like him. He also played 11 mins against the Letran.

Owen is apparently dealing with a minor injury and still working on his conditioning from what ive heard. He wasnt even in the team photo. But on the bright side he's looking better then ever and has been polishing his fundamentals. He's also a year or 2 younger than tagocon so the latter should see playing time already, while owen still has atleast 3 more years of jrs ball. He is expected to see time in the next few games.

Anyways Lsgh has been unfirtunately hit with the injury bug in the offseason, besides owen, and the already hurt karl nonoy, former baby falcon recruit andre bautista was also strucked with an injury. Baustista was being pegged as the number 2 scorer behind top scorer guilian quines.

Oh I see, hope Owen will be okay.

Although I should say that Tagocon is actually only months older than Owen, he was only overage by 15 days to be 2008er like Owen. He was born Dec 14 2007, I think that also makes him to have atleast 3 years of jrs ball same as Owen.

Ram Sharma needs to step up as their big because as of now, he is not yet delivering to the fullest despite heavy minutes. Gomez, a 5'6 PG is their scorer behind Quines.

Ram is doing good considering he isnt really a big. Compared to last year, the coaching staff has actually slid him down to the 4 spot which i think will help his development. Most of the 5 spot minutes is going to burly 6'4 big christian abad and the hardworking brandon yutuc.

Im actually more disappointed in the rest of the support staff. James ison is a ball hog who should showboat less and play smarter, gian gomez had a great game today but is very inconsistent, ditto with dale ortega while bryan hachuela isnt even seeing minutes. All 4 of these guys were already part of that lsgh team that featured pablo and gagate, yet havent really grown much in years that passed. Imo only quines and sharma have shown they are legitimate collegiate prospects thus far.

Letran and lsgh both won their games tying them with eac and beda. Whoever wins against arellano/mapua and if jru wins against baste joins them in the 3-2 win loss record. Thats 5-6 teams tied. Big chance perps go to 4-1 as they had to face the winless lpu squad in the last game. Still anybody's ball game halfway thru the season

I really did jinxed the team. lol. but seriously the cubs falling in love with shooting 3's is their down fall. 8-40 that is only 20%. damn that is low.

If mapua wins against winless lpu, they'll tie eac and letran at 4-2 for second place. Perps still number 1. Arellano, lsgh and san beda all with 3-3 record. Last 3 games will all be crucial.

Perps: EAC, baste, Letran
Letran: mapua, AU LPU
Mapua: jru, eac, baste
EAC: perps, mapua, lsgh
Arellano: San beda, letran, perps
LSGH: lpu, jru, eac
BEDA: arellano, lpu, jru

on paper seems like eac and arellano has the hardest remaining sched left and a lot of things can still happen.

and unsteady and TO prone guards of red cubs... not really a fan of red cubs offensive patterns, which is being likened to the red lions..

I think they are prepping the cubs in case they want to join the Lions in the future, which is why their plays resemble the Red Lions'. I don't like their plays either, but what can you do? There was one game where they lost just because they kept chucking threes instead of attacking the basket, even though the other team was already in the penalty. I'll just blame Stephen Curry. LMAO.

my same complaint/sentiments when it comes to both lions/cubs offense.. too much system (puro 3 pts eh si dollente and at times MJ ang shooter).. we have good shot creators in MJ and ugaddan and we dont maximize their strengths.. free drive na nga, i-kickout/spray pa sa side 3...

Heading to the last gameday. Perps and letran secure their final 4 spots. Mapua, San Beda, LSGH and EAC all tied at 5-3 for the 3rd spot. EAC and LSGH will face each other. San beda faces JRU, while Mapua faces San Sebastian.

San Beda and LSGH takes last two final four spots with both mapua and eac losing.

Whats the rule on ejections due to 2 technical fouls? Is it an automatic one game suspension and dq from awards? Quines who im presuming to be mythical 5 selection this season just did a tounkara today lol

I think jr perps will win it all this season. Squires lucky that quines isnt available for lsgh today. They should get an easy pass to the finals but perps has grown up a lot since last year while the squires has been inconsistent all year long.

Miko should resign and Britt should be back.

There isn’t much talent to begin with this batch of Red Cubs. No legit big man and a bunch of role players. Coach Miko did a good job of honing them and reaching the Final Four. All that despite the departure of Kirk Canete and Drei Lorenzo.

But watch out next season, the core of the U16 team of 2024 that finished second will be elevated. Guards Rhyle Gimarangan, Madi Altamirano and Dwayne Nonato plus do-it-all wingman/big 6’5 Mark San Buenaventura.

Miko's rotation is sh*t sorry to say. A lot of 3pt attempts when theres no a real 3pt threat.
