Congratulations to Benilde. You were the better team. San Beda excuses be damned.

Agree. From the get go, benilde showed how badly they wanted this. The focus from everyone is evident. Most likely the beda boys warned them how dangerous this team still is.

Let’s move to the Finals discussion. Lyceum just lost for the third year in a row in the F4. How ironic that the teams that defeated them in the F4 went on to win the title; Letran in 2022 and San Beda in 2023. This 2024, it was Mapua who defeated them in the F4.

Which streak will end? Mapua’s 33 years or CSB’s 24 years?

I'm betting my money on CSB. Mapua's victory over benilde in the 2nd round was a fluke imo.

CSB shouldnt keep it close against Mapua. Make sure to get enough lead as much as possible

The odds are surely on benilde’s side. However, don’t count Mapua out just yet. Sure they are underdogs but momentum is on their side and escamis and coach randy is in this situation last year, experience is on their side. It’s Benilde’s talent vs Mapua’s experience.

Key for benilde is to limit the turnovers. Its been their biggest problem all season long and as long as they do that. They have a great chance. As for escamis, im expecting ynot to be a lot more active against him. Today's game showed how good he can be on both sides of the floor when fully healthy. But the bigger question with mapua has to be how will they contain benilde's offense that can score in multiple ways.

Sorry if this has been answered in the past but how will jomel play abroad if he is not gilas eligible? Doesnt he have to be gilas eligible in order to play in korea or japan?

Need to do a newsome. For now he's ineligible

Both parents are pinoys who migrated to Canada. Jomel’s case is similar to another Fil-Canadian Christian David.

I’m not sure but I think either the B League or KBL will soon lift the restriction on heritage imports in a way where the passport requirements will no longer apply

Mapua in 3.. i still remember when Clint and cards stayed looking at Jacob(?) cutting the net during last season's awarding.. It was a very strong image/picture.. We know that they are VERY motivated..

Ok thanks for the info. I know Jomel's great and all but I'm not sure if he is asia import good already. I really feel like it would benefit him to stay at least one more year. If he does leave, hopefully its to go pro and to some other collegiate school. That would only stall his development.

Yukien Andrada is a good prospect for the pros as well, stretch big that can shoot the 3 and plays defense. Wonder if he is staying in the lions den for 1 last dance, or he is going to the pros already? I believe he has nothing to prove in the NCAA...maybe the pao javillonar route?

Someone in here said that Yukien and Puno will go back in the den for next season.

UPDATE on Yukien. https://www.gmanetwork.com/ncaa/spo...8KAV3CiqzKHLnQ0sPg_aem_DIQuRo3aXavL_M0bEDo8kg

Season 101 will be very competitive. All the schools are preparing and plenty of recruits.

Andrada doesn’t really look like an overseas talent. Then again Ralph Cu didn’t look like a pba player but he’s a legit rotation guy now and they are kinda similar

Ankle injury https://www.spin.ph/basketball/ncaa...final-four-loss-a793-20241123?ref=article_tag

Apparently, he could have played against benilde, but the team opted not to risk it for his future, I guess that is the downside of having a blue chip recruit, understandable naman pero look at Bravo, that kid is a warrior. Despite the severity of his injuries this season, he still chose to play and scored 20 points in his last game. Now that's the kind of player that SBU should put into team A next season.
