Jimboy over Clint, really!? Elite?
what are you smokin’?

give me Jimboy over Clint Escamis any fvcking day. Jimboy Estrada's game is more suited to the PBA than Clint. Evan Nelle is so much better than the UE version of Clint Escamis and Nelle is just thrash right now in the PBA. Dont give me the rookie excuse sh1t because Robert Bolick was flourishing in his rookie year in the pba. While Jimboy Estrada has the physique, an inside outside game, his stop and pop is arguably the best in collegiate basketball. Unlike Clint who most of the time will force his shots, Jimboy can drive strong to the basket and finish so much better than Clint. He is the better passer, better rebounder and better shooter than Escamis. Heck, if LEtran is in the final 4 and he is not suspended, he has a strong case for ROY/MVP.

but Letran is not, haha.
Jimboy’s stats on supposed most important game for Letran this S100 vs AU:
10 pts, 5/15 FG, 7 Turnovers

I suggest you to watch 2nd round games of Mapua (sweep!) and see on the decision making of Clint on crunch moments (San Beda, LPU, CSB,)

too invested on someone who havent proven anything yet.

better to listen to Shoot first podcast latest episode to enlighten you (on who is pro ready, meaning of 2-way player, the position they will play, and etc)

Don't have to. Just the eye test is enough. Numbers will back up my claim. Estrada >>>> Escamis >>>>> Ynot >>>>>>> SAjonia.

Cuneta apparently.

Filoil have volleyball games (Mens semi pro) if I am not mistaken
MOA have EASL or FIBA qualifiers.
Araneta have UAAP
Philsports/Ultra have PVL

Then it seems RMC and Ninoy A. Stadium are a bid t difficult to reserve as you will be dealing with PSC.

The Shakey’s Super League collegiate volleyball finals willl be in RMC on the 22nd and 23rd.

hard to compare jimboy and clint when they are playing different positions. apples and oranges. i also think jimboy has the harder job considering he was forced to do some playmaking as a result of the team losing manalilli. i'm guessing jimboy even performs better next year considering he gets his point guard - titing, and a better supporting cast with guys like omega and roque. that should ease up defenses.

Looks like they're gonna go again with the 1 game per weekend route again for the finals sched this year.

Jimboy may be better in the near future. However, now is the time of escamis. Back to back number 1 seed for mapua tells it all. Supporting cast of jimboy is not that bad, for me it’s the coaching. Again, its escamis time and it will be a surprise/disappointment if mapua will not make it to the finals once again.

EAC though losing pagsanjan, doromal and gurtiza can still contend for next season with the arrival of shanoda, yanes, omandac and cudiamat. Same as the Altas with the UAAP boys led by Sleat.

Dont be too high on escamis. Yes he is good but look at his performance last year in the finals = choke and brick. Eliminations is different from the finals. Imho San Beda is a different animal once they are in the final four. But I'm happy if clint will redeem himself this season.

I think eac still needs a go to guy in the mold of gurtiza. Most of returning core and the transferees are complimentary scorers at best. Had manlapaz and nitura stayed, they would have solved the problem. Their best hope now shoild be homegrown ej castillo, tho ik not sure if he is graduating senior high already.

Speaking of transferees, how old is yanes? Still remembered him suiting up for the now defuct tip mens basketball team, then moved to adamson, arellano and now eac.

Season 100 stats c/o Pong Ducanes

looking at the stats, think escamis will be mvp again. Solid numbers for a guard and led his team to the number 1 seed. Tho wont be surprised if liwag somehow wins it. As for jimboy, if he didnt get himself suspended, he would have been in the discussion as well but the to's are just too glaring and he wasnt able to lead to letran to final four appearance. Imo this could have been his best chance to win anything since most of letran's transferees like roque, rosillo, estil and company will also get a share of the touches he had this season.

Yanes now should be a one and done since he transferred from TIP during the pandemic.

I still wonder why Manlapaz and Nitura transferred from EAC. Their usage will skyrocket by next season had they stayed. Maybe Cuevas' offer was too good to pass up suddenly they backed out on supporting EAC.

Both of them transfer to Mapua, maybe it’s their handlers who decides for them. Luckily they enrolled on time for this year and doing residency. Mapua gets lucky to snatch those 2.

saw this online, not sure if NCAA uses this:

Statistical points (SP) are computed as follows:
- 1 SP for every point scored, rebound assist, steal and shot blocked.
- 10 bonus points for every game won where the player played within elimination rounds.
- Deduction of 1 SP for every turnover, 5 SP for every technical or flagrant foul without ejection, and 15 SP for any technical or flagrant foul that results in an ejection.

I was in Cuneta Astrodome last Saturday, and the AC and ventilation are not that good (for a small crowd that day),

I hope they add industrial fans and open all ACs on F4 games.

If they follow this then liwag wins it by a wide margin thanks to to his rebounds.
