Agree with most on your list, tho i think its still a toss up between escamis and liwag for the mvp. Either one will be a good choice. For the mythical 5 i'd like to add are and slide barba to one of the forward spot. For the other forward spot id put guiab or andrada. Are for MIP. For roy if they decide separate it, i think sajonia has the inisde track. For frosh, Hubilla or MGC. Defensive team i'd put kevin santos over puno. Are over guiab.

oh yeah, I forgot about Sajonia!
Stats and minutes are with Sajonia.

On the other hand, here’s my forecast on Individual awards:

Most Valuable Player: Allen Liwag, Benilde

Mythical 5
G - Clint Escamis, Mapua
G - John Barba, Lyceum
F - Cris Pagaran, Perpetual (supposedly Jimboy, Letran)
F - Jomel Puno, San Beda
C - Allen Liwag, Benilde

Most Improve Player: Cyrus Cuenco, Mapua

Rookie of the Year: Chris Hubilla, Mapua (supposedly Jimboy, Letran

Freshman of the Year: Chris Hubilla, Mapua

Defensive Player of the Year: Allen Liwag, Benilde

Defensive Team:
G - Clint Escamis, Mapua
G - Joshua Guiyab, JRU
F - Tristan Felebrico, San Sebastian
F - Jomel Puno, San Beda
C - Allen Liwag, Benilde

For Mythical 5, with Mapua's record, you need to pencil in Hubilla who has a very solid rookie season in one of the forwards spot and Yukien instead of Jomel Puno. Ynot should have been a shoo in for one of the guard spots but he missed some games due to his injury and was never the same player when he came back to CSB.

Pana panahon lang yan. Remember when the Stags won every tournament they joined, or SBU? The main reasons we can't match up well with UAAP schools right now are FSAs and Covid effed up our recruiting.

But current NU would have a hard time making it to the F4 too.

This is the right answer.

I say Andrada over Puno at Mythical five. My most improved player is JP Boral of Perpetual because he was virtually non-existent last season to a starter and one of Perpetual’s top scorers this season.

Sajonia has now missed a couple of games because of an ankle sprain. That may affect his chances for ROY.

Head scratching move for charles tiu to start the struggling mowell morales when they have sangco and eusebio.

I told you to expect Letran to come out on fire as they are due for a good game in the second round (1-5).

It’s too early and things will still change in the next three quarters. CSB just needs to be calm.

And in typical letran fashion, gives up a 26 to 4 run in the 2nd qtr lmao benilde leads 47-37 at the half hahaha

They need to be consistent tho. After that scorching start, they proceeded to give up the lead and now benilde leads by 10

I have to question Allen Ricardo’s scrambling double team defensive scheme. Doubling anyone who has the ball even if its at the perimeter to force an early shot or turnover.

That will not work in this era. May be in high school basketball they will get away with it. But in college basketball it’s difficult.

Gotta love what roger ondoa brings to benidle. All heart and hustle. He has basically taken minutes from zenric jarque

Haha no tsamba letran this time. Even with the god awful officiating benilde still manages to get the W

He reminds of of hawkins from SBU's team B. Only difference i see is that ondoa is more athletic.

Yeah i see it, while ondoa is athletic, hawkins is more physical but yeah the heart and hustle are both there. Ondoa imo did a good job of defending the perimeter as he was able to stay infront of the speedy guards in miller and delfino. The rebounding has been magnificent. The pts are already a bonus. Hope coach charles tiu gives him more minutes especially against mapua.

Excited to see those 2 battle it out next season IF hawkins make it to team A.

Imo benilde copied the gameplan of letran past opponents in the second round Focusing the D on both cuajao and estrada, somehow limiting the duo to 23 pts, letting javillonsr shoot all those threes (8). After that letran just basically tried to put the ball in the ring, no set plays, and benilde took advantage while on offense did a good job with their passing drills leading to lots of open shots near the basket. Coach charles did a good job matching up bigger guys in sanchez and eusebio against estrada and cuajao. Even the wings oli and ondoa did a good job limiting the guards. Except for giving mowell morales big minutes in the 1st qtr, overall very good game plan. Ian Torres with a whopping +30 in +/- today.

Game against mapua should decide the number 1 seed.

This is what ive been saying. Seems like what allen ricardo's running letran isnt really working. Either because he doesnt have the right personnel or the other teams have already figured them out. This is why he wont be the headcoach for this team next year. For guys like jimboy, they need a better x and o's coach for their skills to be maximized.

Considering some of our guys are sick with the flu pa, still a good win. Turnovers were kept to the minimum and passing has been crisp. They did a good job of finding the open man. Good adjustments in these game overall

Speaking of passing. 30 team assists today.
