If their are ties, I think head to head then point differential will be followed. In order for mapua to leapfrog benilde when they tie, they need to win their round 2 matchup by more than 13. For mapua and beda, quotient favors san beda by +4.

The NCAA has always settled the seedings (in case of ties) through sudden death games.

Correct me if im wrong but i think they abolished that one game playoff starting season 97. In season 97, mapua and san beda tied at 7-2 for the second seed. Mapua was awarded the twice to beat since they defeated san beda during the season.
In season 98 lpu and san beda tied at 12-6 for the 3rd spot. There was no playoff and instead LPU was awarded the 3rd seed since they were 2-0 against san beda during the season

If they follow the same rule in uaap, playoff only happens when there's a tie for the 2nd(last twice to beat spot) or the 4th(last final 4 spot). Nevertheless if the tie is for the 1st place then head to head point differential will be followed, so yes mapua needs to win by 14 or more to get the tiebreaker against csb if they tie.
As for season 97, that might be an outlier because it was the 'covid' seasn where only 1 round was played so rules might be different then

Yes San Beda and SSC-R fought for the number 1 seed in 2009 and 2011. Both were tied for number 1 at the end of eliminations. They had a playoff game.

Ah i see, what if multiple teams tie at 4, how will they decide who plays for the playoff? And if teams do tie at 2nd, it would virtually be a best of 3 for a finals spot right? Since whoever wins the playoff will have twice to beat.

Thats ralph brucal. Havent seen much of him but he's kinda young and lpu will have loads of guards next year, they also have ex jru guard william sy. Of the bunch i think villegas is the best bet for PG1. He has the scoring touch that cunanan doesnt have and a willing passer so he should still fit well if guandania decides to come back next year.
Pyne imo need another offseason or 2 to be decent. He'll join an interesting core with ex dlsu recruit kyle perez as lpu's building blocks of the future

Coming out party for SBU’s Tagle vs EAC today. This is his best scoring output this season and it’s just halftime.

I believe Arellano still has a slim chance, they are tied with Perps at 6-9
With all the teams listed, my money is with LPU...Villegas kid is balling, Barba is quite consistent, one good game from Guadana and Bravo (when he comes back?) Then this group of Pirates will be dangerous to any foe
