NCAA Season 100

TM Jude said that all stakeholders in SBU are unanimous to the idea of moving to the UAAP. But the decision is for the Fr. Rector to make.

Btw congrats to Jude on handling San Beda well last season, I still believe they added when they subtracted the Kwekuteyes, ynots and Sanchez and let the young core grow..

A lot of people even doubted including me if the team would even make the F4. We had a terrible start during the 2nd round and everyone was counting the team out already..

Interesting if it pushes thru...Sir when did TM Jude say this?

During a recent podcast. It was a hypothetical question coming from a viewer. Im not sure if there are steps taken already to pursue our transfer to the Uaap.

Can i just say, if one of these two schools leave the NCAA(or maybe both of them)... then the league will never be the same. Could be very detrimental for the clout needed by the league to survive.

Beda for sure has a higher chance of being accepted in the uaap since they have solid and competitive programs other than men's basketball. I follow the football scene as well and i can say beda has a rich history there as well. One will only be accepted as a member school in uaap if they can participate in other events. Don't remember letran being competitive in other sports tho. Heck Csb even has a better chance than them since we have a solid volleyball and football teams, and we have competitive athletes in swimming, badminton and athletics as well hehe. Anyways is it true that uaap rejects non-university schools, hence the name UAAP?

And also isn't it the UAAP board's decision to make. Read back then that the there should be a unanimous vote to accept another school. They look like they won't be expanding anytime soon.

The transfer will be painstaking for SBU. They will need to take a leave of absence first. Then they will need a unanimous vote from the UAAP board.

The tough and bloody part is when you get at least one veto from any UAAP school. Because once you get vetoed the program gets stalled and it will affect recruitment of all sports. Remember when San Beda took a leave of absence from the NCAA in the 1980s? With no tournaments to play high prized recruits went to different schools.

DLSU had the same problem going to the UAAP. FEU vetoed them multiple times. It took them 4-5 years to get accepted.

IMO Ust and Ue will veto SBU. Both schools do not welcome the idea of accepting new members.

Yayks. Thanks for the info. All the more reason San Beda shouldn't even think about it. The school won't gain much.

Rather than schools transferring to other leagues, it would be better for everyone if there will just be a big tournament were top finishers from different leagues will compete for a grand tournament ala-March Madness. Apart from uaap and ncaa include other leagues.

Make it really prestigious so it won't be treated as a tool for preseason preparation or team b tryouts. If they make this tournament really matter, school fans/provincial fans will definitely support this.

I agree, its plausible since they don't need to realign or reshuffle schools, just have the league as it is, even the playoffs, they can stil crown the winners as league champs. Then get the best 16 teams in the country, maybe 4 from uaap, 4 from ncaa, 2 from cesafi, 2 from ncraa, 2 from ucbl, 1 from mindanao and 1 from the north. Sayang PCCL had so much potential, i guess it wasnt just that prestigious for many.

This has been the goal of the Phil. Collegiate Champions League but its just so challenging on how to make it the most prestigious tournament in the collegiate scene.

i can already see ue’s argument and that is there should be only one “red” school in the uaap. lol

ust’s seniors is now being run by letran alum al chua. and their juniors is now the haven for the ex red cubs coaches.

not gonna happen since the uaap won't allow any other tournament to outshine it

Csb bounces back with a win against cam norte, after losing a tough one against quezon the other day. Torres again is POG, filling up the stat sheet with 16 pts 8 ast 5 rebs a block and a steal shooting 7 for 9 in the field. Dude really pushing ynot for the starting gig. Cajucom solid as well top scoring the blazers with 19 pts, 6 asts and 4 stls 0 to's shooting 8 for 11. Big men Mara(just 14 mins of play) and Morales also with their breakout games scoring 16 a piece, while cometa dished out 8 assists. Meanhile rare sighting of lepalam playing so i guess he is coming back next year. CSB now 2-1 in PSL. Team B will have a game against UST in Pinoyliga on Sunday.

Man, they are really luring Payosing out of the den too? Tho he said that he wants to stay but i think if the price is right maybe he will leave too.

Welp, i guess more playing time for the Calimag bros and the other team b players transitioning to team a.

Any idea on what school is pirating Payosing?

Its payosing's heart that is priceless. His skills, at this point even at his best , is too affordable.
