Awesome game. Puno showing promise. Hopefully he stays because he's probably being scouted by UAAP teams by now :(

From what i heard its not the uaap teams who's trying to get him....its oppa bros in the kbl haha. To my bedan friends here is it true theres already an offer in the table? Haha

No idea I'm just speculating. Well if it's a Korean ball club that'll be great for him!

The trio of Sajonia, Payosing and Puno was what made SBU took the lead early and late 4th quarter. Two-way players who could run the floor.

This game saw Yuri opting to run more that settling for a half court set.

I feel like someone from the coaching staff is reading what were saying here hahs. This is one of the points multiple guys have noticed. They do better when they score agad rather than setting plays. That 3rd qtr when letran made a run, its when they slowed up things again. The moment they sped things up, beda decreased that 10pt letran lead to 2 coming to the last quarter. Speeding things up lessens the chance of the opposing team to set their defense up. Benilde has been doing the same thing helping them get those big leads.

If you watch their games you'll know what im talking about. So maybe try doing so. As ive said if cuajao didnt get hot and benilde made those that misses that rimmed out we'll still have an undefeated team

As for today beda had that in the bag, it took letran commiting a bad foul on puno that forced him out key minutes late in the game for them to come back. Lets not even talk abouy that bs landing spot foul that letran guys are able to get away with. The perps game even had perpetual multiple chances of winning the game. Lucky for letran they missed all the time. Again im not betting on a team that relies on luck to win. Id rather bet on mapua and san beda who actually lets their play decide the game. As for the baste game, thats not luck, thats stupidity on the part of the refs.

Letran will face csb in the final 4 and will beat csb twice, remember this day and these words.

It might be exaggeration on my part, and it might be a little early, but I think Puno is the best wing in Philippine college basketball. He's expanded his game and has a good motor. Let's see if this take lasts throughout the college season.

That said, I hope we have more 6'5"-6'7" wings similar to Puno, and hopefully those types can defend the perimeter.

Kaya lang expect puno to be scouted, wont be surprised if mapua will put an extra defender on him to disrupt his offense.

Just an observation but i think letran was shocked that puno had all those moves in his bag. If they knew, they would have put an extra guy out there on him. Puno was solid on 1 on 1's and blow bys

They just need to capitalize on that, they double puno but that means yukien or sajonia will be free. Other good thing about this game is the production from celzo and songcuya, 16 pts from them.

Haha quit saying things you know will not happen. You aint even sure if letran will even reach the final 4. Come back to me when you do so, until then keep crying at wherever your team's at.

Ok sir calm down haha. He can't even use his left hand to attack

Exactly, guys like andrada and sajonia or whoever gets free need to take advantage of it.

It would be nice if Yuri deviates from his usual sets and exploit Puno’s versatility.

Make Puno the point forward.

Puno is not FIBA eligible. He’s using his Canadian passport when traveling insiders say.

Oh too bad. It'll be more exciting to see his development if he could play for the national team.

I mean, I haven't seen other college wings who can score like he did this game. Hahahaha. And he has great physical tools and motor. Maybe Francis Lopez of UP comes close, but I feel Puno's more complete. Sanchez doesn't have the physical tools, but he can score through penetration, shooting, and post play.

I hope he also develops his outside shot, he said last year he led the team in shooting %. The stroke is there, especially with his fts

Those coast to coast plays by Puno are amazing. Dribbling thru traffic. Just imagine if Mike Philips has his handles.

Actually puno's contract with sbu is 3 yrs but if there's a offer he'll take it. And yes they (family) are looking for overseas offers not pba.

Point guard play still the weakest link for the Red Lions with Estacio missing 4 freethrows and Royo and Gonzales producing big fat eggs. MEanwhile LEtran Big Man KEvin Santos making all of his freethrow attempts. Eman Tagle and Songcuya missing a gimme layups give me a break. Nygel Gonzales confidence is beyond 0. The kid doesnt want to shoot. While Royo is a midget and a turnover machine. Estacio is soft and lacks true pg skills. Yuri should have given a chance to former REd Cubs JE Lopez and Lecciones

Lecciones is a lemon and would not make Team A. For all of Penny’s shortcomings, he did a fantastic job on Montecillo. Sure he misfired on offense but he was locked on on defense that’s why he had major minutes.

Lopez plays the same position as RC and Sajonia. He should be with the team over Mina next year.

But Lopez can play PG right? What's up with Nygel anyway? Hope he doesn't turn into Gallego.

At this point, seems to me that you are just hating. They scored more baskets and made the crucial stops they needed. If the opposing team can't convert a basket-- could be a bad day, fatigue, good d, etc., its on them. Yes, those wins could partly be luck, but don't discredit the teams effort. I can say that Sajonia's shot is pure luck but I won't. I can also say that Ancheta's shot is pure luck, but i won't either. Its the ref's fault that they missed that traveling violation. At the end of the day, as long as a team won fair and square, a W is still a W.

Give credit where credit is due. The Knights led by as much as 10 pts, San Beda made the stops and convert their shots, while Letran can't buy a basket. That's it, plain and simple.

I'm just hoping for more exciting and close games to come. For me the top 2 spots are locked with CSB and Mapua, while 3 and 4 are still open for all the teams. If they can replicate s91, where the final standings were determined only on the final game day of the 2nd round, then it will be more exciting. lol
