I think andwil is not mobile enough to be effective, looks like he needs to shed some weight. Might lead to some injuries in the long run. Thats what owen did and he looks in great shape. The andwil photo was posted couple of weeks ago. The owen one was couple of days ago.

Yeah, Owen did lose some weight. I do hope both of them will be good players. Although it would really be a long process.

Kai, at their age right now, was having a triple-double with blocks and led Ateneo to win a championship against KQ and CT.

Even with that angle alone, we could see they are really far to reach that standard set by Kai as one of PH Basketball best bigman.

On the bright side atleast the kids nowadays have a better growth spurt than the generations before. We have more locals growing to 6'5 and above and atleast a lot of them are being trained not only to play as bigs. Even if a couple doesnt pan out, we finally have some options for the national team.

I wonder why Andwil could not get an offer to play in NCAA jrs or UAAP jrs atleast but Owen easily got. Based on their videos, he seems to be better than Owen. Playing in high school seasonal tournament would help fasten their development.

I’ve said this in another thread that Adwil is slow and uncoordinated. Him not getting even a scholarship in any NCAA or UAAP HS is an indication of his level of play, which is raw.

These 6’8 and above HS kids are all projects and need time to develop. They just have to find the right coach and school for them.

People don't know what they don't know. The worst are the ones who don't realize this, a little bit of information is dangerous in their hands.

Delfino, no need for residency?

Delta magic. Not even surprised hahaha the kid got kicked out at san beda coz he is not attending his classes. He plays a lot of ligang labas then all of a sudden he can go to college hahaha

Haha i dont think he was enrolled last school year, so maybe after graduating senior high he focused on those ligang labas games. Thus making him eligible agad to play. They said his last school was st augustine institute in pampanga.

Any Gilas material from NCAA?

Benilde's liwag and sanchez, ynot too if he improves his playmaking. Sangco as well. I'd like to say beda's nygel gonzales and maybe mapua's clint escamis. All these guys but maybe after a few more years pa. Its rare to have a KQ level player still playing college ball nowadays.

I think if you’re dormant for a year or two, not enrolling in any college in that period, you’re still subjected to residency. And the pre season games I’ve seen, Delfino was assigned with team b players.

He's with the team A now. Even joined the team building. The one's in team B i see are Rosillo, Marcelo, Cuya, Roque, Estil and Tapenio.

Anyways personally i think he should have had residency, they're in the same boat as estil anyways. He never enrolled in benilde and spent the year playing ligang labas games like Delfino, pero as we know delta magic.
