NCAA Season 100

Looks like Matt Oli and Mowell Morales are not present for csb. Good to see both Galas and Carillo in there looks like they'll make the final cut. Nathan Victoria and James Nacua would prolly stay muna with team b

Oli was there but arrived late. As for morales, not sure what's up with him heard he hasnt been attending training lately. If he doesnt make the team, i think Nacua will get his spot.

Csb takes down Adamson to reach the big dance final. Adamson was severly short handed with only 10 guys in the lineup. No montebon, fransman, manzano and company. Really surprised they didnt field either one of Ojarike or Gaye. They couldve used there size out there, still a pretty gutsy perfromance for them.

Is morales transferring out? Damn he's made a leap with his offense. He's been solid with his outside shooting. Hope he stays but wont be suprise too if he leaves, he's been overshadowed by both samchez and eusebio and both guys still have multiple years left and they still have gaspay and gonzaga waiting in the wings next year.

Pep rally today of the San Beda athletes for Season 100. Each team have to perform a dance number. When it was the Red Lions’ turn they danced to the tune of the spaghetti song. Lol.

You can see the new recruits being placed infront as an initiation of some sort namely Jimmy Reyes, the 6’8” Fil-Foreigner, Miles Culdora, Adrian Sollano and JC Bonzalida in that order.

I like Morales too. In fact I favor Morales over Serrano. Way better shooter

To be fair with serrano, they play different. Serrano is your traditional big while morales is your prototypical stretch 4. Both have their stregths and weaknesses. For serrano, he greatly improved his positioning, footwork, dribbling and finishing around the court, still for his size, he still a step slow and his defensive iq needs some more work. For mowell, dude is lights out in the midrange and 3pt land. He's also an underrated passer, seems to know where he has to be in the system but he shies away from contsct so he's a liability in the paint. He's a decent on ball defender but usually gets in trouble when he defends in the paint too. In the long run tho, my money is on Morales because he's a couple years younger than serrano and has a higher ceiling with the way he plays.

6'8 Xavier Gentles in the house.

The more teams like SBU and CSB get these recruits, the more I think they can really compete with UAAP. When will NCAA and UAAP merge man.

Historically, San Beda has well competed against UAAP schools. San Beda is a 3-time FilOil Preseason champions ( 7 Finals appearances). San Beda is also a 2-time PCCL National champions (5 Finals appearances). And in the PBA D-League was 2-time champions (Hapee and Cignal).

Put this csb team in the uaap now, have them UP's francis nnoroku as their fsa. I believe they should be a final 4 contender. They can probably even beat dlsu too since in their recent tuneup csb only lost by 8 with both teams almost at their full strength. UP is the outlier, they're just too tall and athletic for any ph collegiate team to compete against. Even their B team is good.

That D League teams tho were reinforced with players especially that Hapee Toothpaste team (Newsome, Parks. Iskati, AVO etc. etc.)

Man as much i want ncaa and uaap to merge, i dont think its possible logistics wise. 18 teams is just one too many. Even in US Ncaa div 1, the conferences with the most teams have only 14-15 teams. I believe itll be more interesting if they follow how division 1 works. Have the most prominent leagues like, uaap, ncaa, ucal, naascu, ncraa, cesafi etc. join in one mega inter collegiate umbrella, allow some inter league play, establish a legit national tournament ala march madness and crown a national champ.
