saw some video of the NGBL game between UE and JRU.. Red Cub standout and Gilas U18 Drei Lorenzo transferred from SBU Rizal to UE???

i think its a bad move on his part.. he's one of if not the main man for the incoming season.. In UE, i'm not sure of his role...
anyhow, talents come and go.. next man up for red cubs...

He'll be fine in UE, tho im surprised he didnt follow his fellow phenom boys with the UST tiger cubs. Atleast in UE he should be one of the main guys since a lot of their vets graduated already. I guess he wanted a better challenge in UAAP.
 
I did not know Gilas youth standout Nathan Velasquez transferred to Perps lol. Interestingly, the talent seems in favor of NCAA over UAAP in juniors rank over the years but the UAAP seems to have more exposure all throughout college over NCAA.

Prolly because most of the uaap teams, even in the jr ranks are getting loaded. Not to mention its easier too since there's no FSA. As for this guy, one of the reason he probably transferred out of UST is because Team Manager Jarvis Co has recruited loads of guys for the team.
 
Looks like charles tiu will juggle head coaching duties of csb and being Converge's lead assistant. Still hasnt coach benilde in its recent preseason games. Pao Layug tho is doing a good job filling in.

IMO he's a better choice than franco. I will not be surprise if he will be eventually elevated to head coach.

Is CRT still with CSB?

As long as gabby severino, carlo tan and marvin bienvenida is on the sidelines with Paolo Layug, csb will be fine. Rajko will also be still around in background so you know the system will still be in good hands.

I guess thats the plan, maybe they wanna see first if charles tiu can win in the ncaa. Its still a missing piece in his resume.

Yes rajko is still there, attending practices but he's not expected to be in the bench when season 100 comes around. Feels like the benilde players has done a great job in settling in his system.

Yes coaching staff is very underrated. Infairness to charles tiu, he's done good job with getting his coaching staff. All has their specialty. Layug with his stats, gabby severino with offense, carlo tan with his defense and marvin bienvenida with his man management. Ty tang pa and jc cullar with their player development roles. Even strength and conditioning coach mark dubouzet has done wonders. If you watch closely, every player has bulked up even the rail thin ones like turco, galas and ancheta.
 
Csb reaches the final 4 in the big dance. Will face adamson for a spot in the finals. Good matchup here as benilde has had a harder time facing this uaap team in recent games theyve had. Hope they'll play their full lineup to have a better chance.

Still a good 30pt win for csb against an olfu team led by a solid fsa. Liwag and ynot is still out. So were sangco, cajucom, oli and cometa.

Thought TY Tang was supposed to migrate to Canada for good? that is why he resigned as CSB's coach.

I believe he and his family are back in the country. As early as last year pa. Not sure what his status with his canadian permanent residency or how it works but there are kinks that allows them to come home every now and then. He's been joining the blazers practices since december and unofficially part of the coachint staff. He's focusing on player development especially the guards in the team. He was also part of the sga coaching staff that recently won the jones cup and also helped establish a basketball school in the country. He also joined an xavier alumni team competing in alumni league composed of different schools.
 
I thought with Layug around, CSB boys will get lifetime pretty huge membership hehe

They workout there from time to time, even joined in their basketball league tho benilde has a pretty impressive gym in their own sports complex so thats where they usually workout talaga. Even their graduates come back workout there from time to time, perks of being an alumni haha. Imo its comparable to ateneo's moro lorenzo and dlsu's razon sports complex
