Dunk City is back! Florida Gulf Coast mirrors the NBA's LA Clippers. Chase Fieler with an exclamation dunk to cap off a double-double much like Blake Griffin.

I like what I am seeing in Marcus Smart to start the season. Balances floor leadership while timing that aggression that fuels those explosive attacks to the rim. He foregone going pro to be a better leader. OKlahoma State up big against Utah Valley.

Baylor escapes a nail biter against South Carolina. Good thing Royce O'Neal and Kenny Chery made those charities. Could have been anyone's game as SC was being physical against Isaiah Austin. SC's Thornwell was aggressive in attacking the Bear's block zone.

The new look Louisville had the "Big 3" Russ Smith, Chris Jones and Montrezi Harrell erupting for a combined 69 points to maul Hofstra. Pitino's Cards are a well oiled machine as they are 2-0.

Kentucky trims the deficit with Julius Randle making free-throws. Michigan ST leads 60-55 with 9 mins to go.

Michigan ST's lead down to 2 66-64 as Julius Randle has been lifting Kentucky. 4:41 to go.

Game of the night: Kansas vs. Duke means Andrew Wiggins vs. Jabari Parker. What a showdown.

Tight game @ 2nd 13:05

Wiggins took a backseat for Perry Ellis while Jabari Parker is proving to be the man for DUKE.

83-81 Kansas with two more minutes. Supporting cast has come alive for both squads.

FINAL: Kansas wins over DUKE 94-83 as the Jayhawks ramped up the clutch shots off DUKE miscues. Wiggins helped seal the game in the last two minutes with two baskets as Jabari Parker, who had a good game until crunch time faded into the bench.

Wiggins: 22pts, 10rebs, 2 assts
Parker: 27pts, 9rebs, 1 ast

Wiggins' teammates came through the pressure. Perry Ellis was scoring and Wayne Selden owned the boards.

Arizona looks to shine tonight. Aaron "Air" Gordon and Nick "Quick" Johnson are superbly athletic.

Aaron Gordon quick start against San Diego State; scoring 12 of the team's first 24 points but picked up 2 quick fouls. Same with Nick Johnson.

Wanna see Gabe York take over.

Gordon and Johnson now on double figures scoring at the half where Arizona leads San Diego State 39-28. Hollis-Jefferson did a good job in filling in for Gordon when the latter got benched to conserve fouls.

Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker are battling a resilient East Carolina squad that has been getting easy buckets. Quin Cook for DUKE is stepping up from the bench.

Saw the replay of the Wisonsin - North Dakota game. Junior bigman Frank Kaminsky, is playing the best of his career.

Cleveland Thomas winning trey as New Mexico survives UAB Blazers in double OT! The clutch baskets to force the first OT by New Mexico was the best part of the game. Not taking away anything from UAB ofcourse, they played great.

Doug McDermott's eruption of scoring 21 of his 33 points lead Creighton past Tulsa. Doug shrugged off a rusty start to come up big in the 2nd. He has improved after his Team USA summer stint in Vegas.

Oregon head coach Dana Altman has signed a three year extension. Since taking over from Ernie Kent two seasons ago, the team started winning and the sweet 16 appearance last march was a huge factor.

Memphis program got a huge boost with alumni point guard Bill Laurie donating $10 Million through a fundraising effort. This bodes well for the program and Pastner, who has the backing of the program heads.
