I know this thread is a little too early to be made but I am really excited about this upcoming season...

So which new players are you guys interested in? Any teams you guys look forward to seeing do great?

Some of the Freshman I'm most looking forward to seeing this year:

Greg Oden - Ohio St. = 7'1" beast (Shaq resurrected!)

Daequan Cook - Ohio St. = Great SG, can score!

Mike Conley - Ohio St. = Fast PG, cannot wait to see them 3 together!

Tywon Lawson - N.C. = Smooth PG, nice handles

Sherron Collins - Kansas = One of the best PGs probably

Javaris Crittenton - GA Tech = 6'4" + Speed + Hops = Highlight Reel

Scottie Reynolds - Villanova = Quick star PG. Dude can seriously play!

D.J. Augustin - Texas = Nice PG.

While I loved the Florida Gators winning it all, I think this year North Carolina has a great chance. Other teams looking good are Ohio St., Kansas, Arizona, Texas, and Louisville.

SYRACUSE SYRACUSE SYRACUSE!!! all about syracuse and nothin else!!! and to think I go to Oklahoma state and I'm showin more love for boeheim and crew.

The Orange Men got SF Mike Jones (Who!?) ... Im not sure how great he will be but he was pretty good at the Jordan Classic game. Im a Miami Canes boy, but I don't see us doing anything outside of the ACC this year

this could be one of the best freshman classes of all time, so much NBA ready talent coming in,

I dont know man...I already cant wait for next year..Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo and Eric Gordon are looking like they can skip college and shoot directly to the NBA

Next year will be full of freshmans with unbelievable talent,I cant wait for that.
Meanwhile,Ohio-State are my favourites.Georgia-tech can be a nice surprise with Thaddeus Young and Javaris Crittenton.
By the way,is there anybody who can give me links for clips of Kevin Durant and Brandon Wright?thats for an important mission.

uh for the 2006 uh i guess AJ Slaughter of WKU. and for next year it will be Japeth Aguilar of WKU again.

Texas' Kevin Durant had a Big 12 first last night with 37 points and 23 rebounds - the first 30/20 game by any player in the history of the Big 12.

Is it only me or does Greg Oden look overated. I saw him against Michigan State and he seemed like a nba project.

i'd like to give Oden a slight break by stating he had that ankle injury hence he didn't fully train together with the team. also Ut(Texas-Durant) for the past 10 yrs or so have built a storng basketball team year in and year out. On the otherhand I'd like to state(and with a bit of bias since I'm a former student of the Big 12 Conference) that for Durant to compile a stat as current as his is no easy task in this Physical conference. Eventually Oden will get better and so long as he stays healthy he'll improve and be the person he was projected to be. I hope he doesnt go to the NBA next year tohugh b/c he isnt developed and he'll just flop. For Durant he could go, but IMHO i'm quite against the idea of athletes not obtaining their 4 yr degree first.

You mean a wrist injury, not ankle. Oden has been playing with his wrist taped up all season and has been shooting free-throws left handed, because of it. Inspite of it all Oden is having a solid freshman season. Whether he plays another year at Ohio State or goes straight to the NBA next year, I think then you'll see the real Greg Oden.
As for Durant, he gets my vote for player of the year in the NCAA, not just freshman. This guy is probably one and done and should have a great rookie year in the NBA. I'm not an advocate of leaving school early, but this guy is that good.

I think with the globalization of basketball the talent level is better than ever before. It used to be that success in the college game guaranteed some success in the nba. After Reddick, Sheldon Williams and Tyrus Thomas I'm not as sure anymore.

In Poland we have new TV channel where we can watch NCAA games yeah :) I watch today Indiana vs. Ohio State - great game, and great players is Greg Oden !!! He made so much monster dunks and blocks :) I have this game on DVD, so if somebody want please give me a info :)

Bad news for the rest of the NCAA - Oden's right wrist is getting better. He's now shooting free-throws with his natural shooting hand and says he's pain free. Late in the game today against Michigan he took over, despite being saddled with 4 fouls. I look forward to seeing how he performs in the tournament for Ohio State.
Who would you take if you were a GM with the #1 pick this coming NBA draft? Oden or Durant? Durant looks like a scorer in a hybrid McGrady-Nowitzki mold. Oden might become a David Robinson calibre centre.
