The soon to be cleared for signing, free agent JR Smith has four NBA teams as suitors:

Los Angeles Clippers
Indiana Pacers
New York Knicks
Minnesota Timberwolves

The Pacers can offer the most money compared to the three teams mentioned.

The Pacers apparently have given up their pursuit and are out of the equation. The news is that Smith met with Mike Brown so add the Lakers among the interested.

Prediction: CP3 convinces him and Smith joins Lob City.

Good call and thanks.

Smith and the Clippers would work out well. Smith will be filling in the void left by Billups. Plus another clear cutter for the lob. Sounds good.

With his attitude, i think he works well with Kobe too but the question is if he can play SF if he signs with LA (assuming both Kobe and JR are in at the same time)

close friend and former Nuggets team mate Melo Anthony is convincing JR Smith to join the Knicks as he believes with Lin as point guard, Chandler at Center, Amare at Power Forward and Melo at Small Forward, JR is perfect as their starting shooting guard. He feels they had a shot in going deep into the playoffs.

I heard rumors about the Minnesota Timberwolves trading Michael Beasley to the New Jersey Nets for shooting guard, Anthony Morrow.

isn't it lopsided for the Timberwolves

I don't think so. In my opinion, the Timberwolves are really looking for a scoring shooting guard. They have been link with Houston's Kevin Martin in January. The story came to be after there were reports that the Nets are shopping Morrow.

As for Beasley, the Timberwolves were reported to be shopping him once again after a failed attempt to trade him to the Lakers as reported.

but morrow is a big liability in defense, i think they should make a gamble on getting a draft pick since next NBA Draft is really loaded with quality players.

BTW Wesley Johnson should also be traded hehe

ComCast sports reports that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Portland Trailblazers are discussing a deal involving point guards Raymond Felton and Steve Blake.

Portland Trailblazers guard Jamal Crawford is reported to be in the trading block. The Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers are said to be the teams that have inquired.
