NBA signings and trades 2010-2011

Magic agree to deal with Richardson and still considering matching Chicago's offer to J.J Redick.
 
I have to say that the Miami Heat are starting to look very dangerous. Mike Miller and Zydrunas Ilgauskas are the type of players they really needed to put with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh. They still need a PG, but look at this line-up now:

PG _______, Chalmers
SG Wade, Miller
SF LeBron, Miller
PF Bosh, Haslem
C Ilgauskas, Haslem, Anthony

That's pretty stacked. Ilgauskas lets Bosh move to the PF spot, where he'll be better because Bosh can't defend anybody who has ever lifted weights. Miller could start for most teams, but he'll be coming off the bench and he's completely underrated.

He was not great in Charlotte, although he was statistically significant. Was that because of Brown? Hmm. I still Tyson Chandler a lot. Yeah, he's soft, but I like his game for some reason (when he's healthy). Toronto looks like they'll be OK after losing their big three from last year. If they had a center, I'd put them in the "definite" play-off category. Without a center (Bargnani doesn't count and Rasho is a FA I think), they'll be fighting for the 8th spot.

Apparently this deal is off because Michael Jordan decided that he didn't want a good point guard on his team. :rolleyes:

or maybe you can say Brown won't depend on him since he ain't his type of players ;)

Yeah, wow is right. I am guessing they may even start Anthony and bring Ilgauskas off the bench since you won't need any more offensive firepower in the starting lineup, just a guy to bang down low and get rebounds. If they can get a nice pass first, good defending veteran PG I think that may be all they really need to complete the team.
Then all they would need is some luck to stay healthy and time to learn to play together and I don't know if anyone will be able to stop them
 
Could the Heat be the first team to not lose a game all season? Well, maybe the Lakers can catch one on them, maybe.

Well in terms of offense they will still need a presence on the low post to open up some space for the trio.

The team is so far from being a contender now they only have 4 signed players with Haslem, Z and Miller almost there so basically 7 players we still have to see what kind of bench they will have and who's going to be their starting PG.
Besides Cavs had 2 superb seasons but they lacked a lot in terms of coaching and spirit (in my opinion) we have to see what Heat's Spoeltra can do...

I'm not sure if they can do this feat but I'd say they will give the Bulls' record a run for the money. :)

They're still going to struggle at first and they'll lose a shocker or two to Charlotte or New Jersey, but yeah, they're stacked. Like NorCal said, they'll be able to bring Z and Miller off the bench for continued offensive power. Defense is still a little iffy, but man....wow.
 
I wonder if the HEAT will sign drafted rookies Jarvis Varnardo and DaSean Butler. Varnardo will somewhat contribute to the HEAT's defense and could slide in as C for minimum minutes while DaSean Butler can fill up the SF and SG spot for again minimum minutes.

I guess the HEAT are still looking for veterans left on the market that are willing to sign for minimum and perhaps play for a contender.

On the other hand, Mike Miller, Juwan Howard, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Joel Anthony will be signing with the HEAT.
