The battle against Los Angeles is about to start! :D

well I am gessing it's gonna a be a battle in the East this year to face LA.
Toughest Eastern Conference playoffs battle ever:
Miami
Celtics
Magic
Bulls
New York (if they can improve their D and if Amare and Felton can still do the pick and roll as effective as it was in Phoenix).
Hawks (if they've got a good addition).

Matt Harpring is weighing the option whether to continue his broadcasting career / Basketball Analysts on TV or be a part of Utah Jazz coaching staff as Jerry Sloan had been offering Harpring a place on the sidelines.

I think Matt Harpring should join the Jazz coaching staff as he can help develop players like Gordon Hayward's defense.

Veteran guard Michael Finley is contemplating retirement but is still open to playing for an NBA Team.

I believe that IF no NBA Team signs Finley, then he would really call it a career.

Golden State Head Coach Don Nelson is waiting for the contract extension from the Golden State Warriors.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please lord, no, no, no.

Like what the report said, nothing is indefinite as Don Nelson is just waiting and expecting a contract extension but the new owners according to report are not too keen on contract extensions to Nelson, which is why until this day, Nelson's future with the team is still uncertain.

The Orlando Magic had agreed to terms with veteran point guard Jason Williams and has resigned Williams. Currently, the terms of the deal was not disclosed.

Los Angeles Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss and Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak are carefully evaluating the Shannon Brown scenario where the Los Angeles Lakers now have a league high $92.5 Million payroll and the cause for Luxury Taxes due to be paid. Now, re-signing Shannon Brown will add more to the payroll and Luxury Taxes incurred.

Free agent Point Guard Acie Law will be signing with the Memphis Grizzlies for a 1 year deal.

Reportedly the NY Knicks were in talks with the Blazers to receive Rudy Fernandez but they Knicks weren't willing to give away a future #1 pick for him.
I'm surprised the Knicks even have any of those left after Isiah's tenure there.

Too bad, it would have been fun to see Rudy in NY under D'Antoni

The Los Angeles Lakers have finally re-signed guard Shannon Brown for 2 years worth $4.6 Million.

I guess we can discuss NBA teams here...that said:

After losing All-Star forward Carlos Boozer to free agency and the latter signed with the Chicago Bulls, the Utah Jazz seemed doomed to be a so-so team after years of post-season appearances. But something magical happened, they shipped Greek center Kousta Koufus and a Second Round draft pick for next year to the Minnesota Timberwolves for forward/center Al Jefferson. Al Jefferson had 2 consecutive seasons of 20 ppg and 10 rpg performances before being derailed by injuries. The addition of Jefferson makes the Utah Jazz more competitive and fills in the void left by Boozer.

Presumed Line-up for next season (2010-2011)

C Mehmet Okur
F Al Jefferson
F Andrei Kirilenko
G CJ Miles
G Deron Williams

Reserves:

Paul Millsap
Gordon Hayward
Raja Bell
Ronnie Price
Kyrylo Feslenko
Sundiata Gaines

I will be interested to see how rookie Gordon Hayward will play for next season.

The New York Knicks has signed guard Roger Mason for a 1 year contract worth $1.4 Million.

The Charlotte Bobcats have entered negotiations with free agent and veteran guard Larry Hughes. The Bobcats are offering Hughes a 2 year deal worth $2.4 Million.

The New York Knicks have re-hired former NBA Star and former Head Coach Isiah Thomas as a team consultant.

I remember one quote by Isiah on 2007:

"Knicks have not seen the best of me"
