NBA Playoffs 2009

There goes Orlando's season.

Even though Orlando can win game 5 their chance of winning the title this season is over.

Could be a big party in Tinsel town!

Unless the boys from Orlando derails it.

Wow, that was a Grade-A choke from Orlando. You can't waste Kobe's 11-31 game.

Kobe now tearing up the nets at a cool .429 (48-112) clip in the finals...still the greatest

He's just playing like Mike... Taking 1/3 of his team's shots. ;)

Fun fact: There have now been seven playoff games since 86-87 where a player took 31 or more shots and made 11 or fewer.

How did their teams do in those games? 5-2.

The corresponding record in regular-season games is 15-40, so it's probably just luck.

Is anyone else having major problems with the picture tonight, or is it just a lovely Comcast feature?

The SD broadcast is working but on the HD channel there is just audio.

Mark Jackson throws in a Manny Pacquiao reference for the Filipino market.

Kobe named finals MVP.
4 titles for Bryant and Fisher.
First for Odom, Bynum and Gasol.
10 Titles for Phil Jackson (#1 in the history of the nba)

erf my least favorite team in the league wins it. Ah well congrats Lakers. Now no more basketball till the regional championships start up :(

Congrats for the Lakers! Kobe finally got the "monkey of his back" :D (Winning the NBA title without Shaq).

Howard was a non factor in this game. The Magic who lived by the 3 died by the 3 (8-27 3PT in game 5).

According to Phil Jackson, Kobe has truly transformed over the years to become a true leader of this Lakers' team

I think LA Lakers will still be a force to reckon with next season. As long as Kobe, Fisher, Gasol, Ariza, Bynum are there, this team is definitely hard to beat. I can still remember the times when Jordan made passes to Kerr or Paxon in the crucial moments of the game in those Chicago final appearances. And now it's Bryant to Fisher. How about Ariza? He can be likened to a Ron Harper or Scottie Pippen at times. Well, there's Gasol and Bynum... a tandem very much better than Kukoc/Rodman and Longley or Grant and Cartwright. The past, Chicago Bulls, is now the present, LA Lakers, with a common pilot and master tactician Phil Jackson as the coach.

For the sake of history please... bring on the Boston Celtics and LA Lakers in the finals next season... a legendary rivalry that will be very much awaited by the world in the 2010 NBA Finals.

Kobe deserves to win the Finals MVP. He's been consistent and played a good all-around series.

LA Lakers are new NBA champions!! Finally, after desperate and long seven seasons...!! Wow... :)

Celebration time!:D:D:D

Begin to believe that teams that rely on the 3 breakdown way to much. Dallas and the Suns have tried it for years and it only got them so far. Now, you have the Magic as the latest example.
