The NBA for the first time in the Middle East organized a great event for all NBA and bball fans known as NBA Jam Fest.

Main Participants in this Event were:
Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon, New York City Dancers, Milwaukee Bucks Rim Rockers, as well as the Indiana Pacers mascot Boomer :D

Other Participants:
Coach Neil Meyer (Experienced NBA coach who gave many clinics on shooting skills/drills during the event) http://www.nba.com/coachfile/neal_meyer/index.html
Jerry Burrel of Acrodunk who was MC-ing on center court http://www.acrodunk.com/meet.html

as well as Adam Kechil who was also Mc-ing on the court where the 3 point competition was taking place, I don't know the full name of the guy responsible for the Slam Dunk event but his first name was Anwar.

Additional Features:
Larry O'Brian NBA Trophy, Real size images of NBA players with height, Stands of NBA players with info. including hand and shoe size.

Stations:
Mini courts that were used for the 3 on 3 events, Slam Dunk Station, 3 point shootout station, as well as center court were the majority of the action was taking place.

I participated in most of the events over the 3 days and I won a few prizes as well... even though they weren't any grand prizes.
Most important thing for me is that I got to meet up with interact with alot of great individuals and I had a great time at the event and I mentioned this to the Managing Director of the NBA in the Middle East (Aly El Hamamsy).

Here are some pics from the event (List 1)

Looks like a great time. I love 3-on-3 tournaments. Any pictures from those games?

Yeah, and where are your pictures, Khalid?

It's taking me ages to upload the pics and my internet connection is quite crappy these days but will do both of your requests:

Matt I realized I only took 2 pics of the 3 on 3 games cause the rest were video clips (I have to upload them on youtube so this will take quite a while but I will post some more tomorrow). I will also post a clip of the NYC Dancers as well as the Rim Rockers.

As for my pics here are some Picture List (4)...

Note 1: After I hugged the Larry O'Brian Trophy the security guard was going to kick my a$$ cause they strictly said no one should touch the trophy :D

Note 2: I met up with some Chinese ballers and spoke with them a bit in Chinese and they were quite impressed.. The guy wearing the Kobe jersey (It's the jersey Kobe used to wear in high school) is a Kobe fanatic.. He keeps up with all the latest news of Kobe in the NBA and likes him almost as much as Yao Ming :D

Picture List (5):

I wear size 12 (46) so i'm assuming Danilo wears at least a size 14 (50) since there is quite a gap showing :D

The last pic is the list of items I won (an NBA "golf ball", lip gloss :o (given to me after the team I was on defeated the NYC Dancers in a Free Throw shooting on center court. As for the last prize it's a small soft NBA Spalding ball but this was the second prize since I lost in the final round of a game of NBA knockout (out of 30 contestants). In the last day of competition we were all in awe at the talent of a young Filipino boy (around 7 or 8 years old) who literally kicked everyone's a$$ in the mixed shootout competition. I got eliminated by him in the quarterfinals and he did beat some really good shooters in both the semifinal as well as the final round.

no picture of you there?

He's probably busy with the cheerleaders lol .. only jokin' Khalid bru!

Back in the 1990s Australia used to have these types of events during the "basketball boom" however, basketball isn't in the top 8 :(
Thus, I look back and I wish I did took the chance to go to these types of events.

Hey Saski bro :) Of course man.. You don't get to meet these cheerleaders everyday.. even though if you personally ask me I have seen so many cheerleaders this past summer when I was watching the World Championships in Turkey but these Knicks cheerleaders were quite feisty and had a "badass" attitude :D

Here's a clip that I just uploaded on youtube for you bro. Enjoy

Matt bro you're unlucky man :(. the only good clip I could find from the videos I took was this small clip from the 3 on 3 game in the final. In the other videos my camera would start on court but end up somewhere else (cough cough where the hot chicks were located/sitting :D)

Btw the teams that reached the final were made up of mostly either African or American bball players.

Now comes the juicy part with the Milwaukee Bucks Rim Rockers :D

Damn these guys know what they're doing and really they put on quite a show allright:

1) Intro show for the Rim Rockers

2) Double between the legs transfer

3) Off the glass trick shot for all the Rim Rockers

4) Rim Rockers+Boomer Showtime

5) Clip of Rim Rockers+NYC Dancers (This ones' for you Matt ;))

6) Rim Rockers Oop in the Alley

7) Rim Rockers Front Flip

8) Rim Rockers Quadruple Play

9) Rim Rockers triple between the legs transfer

10) A clip of the "panther" Boomer (Indiana Pacers Mascot)

Only one word to describe it: "SMOKIN" :D

That definitely doesn't surprise me.
I'm sure the lads didn't leave their talents in the US or Africa.

1) Intro show for the Rim Rockers

Only the intro ... DAMN ...

It's ok you can say i'm fat :D

Nah Matt's saying you're a "bouncer" and when he'll open up his club in Costa Rica you'll be in the front door lol ... and I'll be in the rooms keeping the ladies happy LOL

It looks like it was great event.

Kind of reminds of "NBA Madness in Manila". Used to enjoy those festivities.
