It is reported that the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons are looking to own their exclusive D-League teams.

Florida Times:
The Magic, who will play the New Orleans Pelicans at 7, have an interest in moving its NBA Development League team to Jacksonville, team CEO Alex Martins said Tuesday.

“We’ve made it clear to the [NBA] league we’d like to make this happen,” Martins said.

Michigan Live:
The Detroit Pistons have engaged in discussions about acquiring exclusive control of an NBA Developmental League team, Joe Dumars said Friday.

The Pistons’ president of basketball operations was not specific about whom the team had negotiated with, where any such team would be based, or whether the pursuit focused on an existing or expansion franchise.

The way I see it, the D-League in the future will have 30 teams with each NBA team having their own single affiliate, much like major and minor league baseball.

Tornike Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor were assigned by Brooklyn to their D-League affiliate, Springfield Armor.

We have our first call up of the season. Utah Jazz call and sign Diante Garrett from the Iowa Energy. This happens a day after releasing Jamal Tinsley.

Kings assign Ray McCallum to the Reno BigHorns. This is way better than Ray being inactive.

Ray McCallum of Reno against Sioux Falls: 28 points 12/19 shooting, included 3 treys. But McCallum was outperformed eventually by Quincy Douby, a veteran NBA journeyman was so active aside from scoring, hauling and dishing. Douby had steals and a couple of blocks.

Former Tarheels Kendall Marshall and waived by the Wizards last month, is a free agent and is looking for a D-league team.

Reggie Williams will play in the D-League soon after being waived by the Bobcats. Reports say that Williams is drawing strong interest from Iowa, Springfield, or Tulsa. I remember Williams making a huge storm in the D-League back in 2009-10 with Sioux Falls.

Bulls assigned Marquis Teague to Iowa Energy.
Sixers assigned Lorenzo Brown to Delaware.
Pistons assigned Tony Mitchell and guard Peyton Siva to Fort Wayne.

Also, according to rumors, Terrence Williams is headed to the D-League.
