Yesterday and today, the NBA dropped Roanoke and Fayettville, respectively, from the D-League, citing financial problems. So that now leaves 13 teams in the D-League. The NBA wants a 15-team D-League, so what two cities will get teams? Richmond VA has been mentioned as a possible expansion candidate. What about Buffalo? The D-League is severely lacking a presence in the northeast.
