G'day people,

Let's compare "generations" of the best player or most popular player in each position over each decade.

Small Forward: Larry Bird vs Scottie Pippen vs LeBron James

Power Forward: Charles Barkley vs Karl Malone vs Tim Duncan

Centre: Moses Malone vs Shaq vs Dwight Howard

Shooting Guard: Clyde Drexler vs Jordan vs Kobe

Point Guard: Magic vs John Stockton vs Steve Nash

80's
Magic Johnson
Clyde Drexler
Larry Bird
Charles Barkley
Moses Malone

90's
John Stockton
Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen
Karl Malone
Shaquille O'neal

00's
Steve Nash
Kobe Bryant
Lebron James
Tim Duncan
Dwight Howard

90's by far... It would also be unfair if I add Olajuwon, Gary Payton and Reggie Miller to that team from the bench

screw the position comparison... 80ies actually made NBA great.
Mind and heart over muscles anytime. And that's what the 80ies and early 90ies had, that 10ies don't (even if observed though TV ratings :p)

80s by far... you're also forgetting that the players you listed in the 90s had some of their greatest years in the 80s as well...
