Good to see some pictures! I like Deportivo's uniforms. Postponements are, unfortunately, the sign of either an unorganized league or a league losing money. :(
Yeah organisation problems are the reason.

Or it could be that they're playing abroad in international tournaments :D
(Afro League anyone :) )
We'll at least it's good that the teams have 56 games to play throughout the season (that's a very descent amount of games to be played in an African League)

So how does the Mozambican league compare to other African Leagues? (I doubt it being better than the Angolan League simply because of Angola's NT bball history).
I used to live in Tunisia (North Africa) and the level of bball there along with the Egyptian League, Algerian League, and Morrocan League were quite descent compared to other African countries (Even though I still believe that the Egyptian League is one of the best in Africa).

Maybe, but I don't think they would schedule games on the same time if they had tourneys to play in. I don't know.[/QUOTE]

That's a dream, baby! I would love to see it. If there were a unified African league, I would seriously fly to see the championships.

Yes. 56 games is amazing. I was really surprised when Rik said that. I don't know how long the season will last, but that's very impressive. It takes a lot of dedication on the part of the players and the club/league management.

How long has the league been playing 56 games? Is it an established league?

@Khalid80: Yes, it's way below the Angolan league and I think some Magrebian leagues are stronger simply because this was one of the very few serious efforts to establish and develop a national championship in Mozambique. This year everything started anew so to speak.

The league had organisation problems right from the beginning as I wrote in a previous post.

@Matt: Well there's the African Champions Cup ;)
The next round is the last one for the regular season, then the playoffs start.
