Round-up

The Milwaukee Bucks have released the following players:

Tiny Gallon
Tory Jackson
Billy Rush

Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Scott Skiles have confirmed that forwards John Salmons and Corey Maggette will not participate in their pre-season games but are expected to return in late October when the Bucks enter the NBA regular season for 2010-2011.

Rumor has it that free agent veteran center Erick Dampier is also being courted by the Bucks.

Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut said in an interview in comment regarding the status of his surgicaly repaired right hand:

"I might not be 100% the whole year,"

"The elbow, finger, everything; I won't be 100%, so I'll have to play through the pain through the season. Even once it gets better, I'm still going to be 90% for the year or 85%.

"I don't have my mobility and flexibility like I should, but I just have to adjust to it."

This means that acute pain will bother him this season. But he is a warrior for playing through it.

Milwaukee Bucks news:

Milwaukee Bucks second round draft pick Daniel Hobson has undergone successful left-hip surgery. Hobson is set to undergo a similar procedure on his right hip later this year and is expected to miss the NBA 2010-2011 regular season.

The Milwaukee Bucks have announced that center Andrew Bogut will play the pre-season games against the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves this weekend. This will be Bogut's first game since suffering that right arm injury during last season's game against the Phoenix Suns.

There are also talks of limiting the minutes of center Andrew Bogut within this season. Which is why the investment of Gooden and the active pursuit for free agent Erick Dampier are all relative insurances.

Good point. Gooden is still a tough player, but he struggles in defense against the bigger centers (everybody does). Dampier would be a great player to have behind Bogut.

One of the Bucks key acquisition this off-season, forward Corey Maggette will not be able to play on the opening week for the NBA 2010-2011 season.

The Bucks are loaded with good SG/SF players. Maggette is a great player, but they can win games without him for now. That position is the most crowded in the NBA.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd has confirmed that he is targeting a return to play date of February 2011. Redd has suffered successive knee injuries this past two years and is optimistic of not playing prematurely.

He said in an interview:

"I just know I want to come back and do my part, whatever it is. There's no doubt about it. My mind is to come back and to play and help this team out as much as I can when I get back."

He was asked on what will be his role for the team this February upon his return:

"Any role, any role, just to play basketball and be a part. That's it and that's been my mentality my whole tenure here. To do the best I can do."

It is not relatively easy to transition from being the franchise player that Redd was once and after just two years, he became a role player as the team is now bannered by Bogut and Jennings. But kudos to Redd for being very professional and understanding that times have changed.

...kudos to Redd for being very professional and understanding that times have changed.
Absolutely. I would expect nothing less from Michael Redd. He's a very classy guy. Very smart on and off the court. He's a big name in Ohio sports, coming from Columbus and playing at Ohio State.

The Milwaukee Bucks have exercised the Third Year Option on point guard Brandon Jennings.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Chris Douglas-Roberts will miss the first game of the season against the New Orleans Hornets due to blurred vision on the right eye. He is scheduled to see an Eye Specialist this week.

The Milwaukee Bucks have exercised the Third Year Option of General Manager John Hammond and extends the contract of Head Coach Scott Skiles through the 2012-2013 NBA Season.

The Miwaukee Bucks lost their first game of the season 95-91 to the New Orleans Hornets despite Andrew Bogut's 15 points and 15 rebounds. Back-up Drew Gooden had 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Carlos Delfino scored a team high 19 points.

Looks like Delfino picked up where he left off last year. In the last few months of last season, he was a Top 20 player. Good for him.

I'm surprised that Milwaukee lost. They are a better team in my opinion. Of course, it was a close game and it was in New Orleans, so that affects the outcome.

The Milwaukee Bucks notched their first win of the season by winning over the Charlotte Bobcats 98-88.

Brandon Jennings had a Triple Double consisting of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Carlos Delfino had 23 points on 8-17 shooting; including 5-11 from the three point area.

Brandon Jennings is simply a monster player. Lol.

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently 1-4 on which they dropped 3 road games. Indeed a slow start for them this year. Last year, they were doing pretty well being as the road team.

The Milwaukee Bucks winning against the Indiana Pacers 94-90 despite the absence of center Andrew Bogut who did not play due to migraine. John Salmons broke out of his performance slump by scoring 22 points on 6-12 from the field and 2-5 from the three point area as well as converting 8-10 on his free-throw attempts. Salmons also had 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
