Other positions other than the bigs that the Bucks are overcrowded, include 3&D SG/SF combo wings... Clearly, the Bucks have signed Matthews before they ever knew that Korver will join the team... Brown & Connaughton both contributed the most they could last season and they are expected to be significantly better this season as well as their contracts being the least expensive among team salaries... Therefore one should expect Matthews to join Ilyasova in being available for a trade later this season, when his trade restriction will be lifted.

GM Jon Horst confirms that the Bucks will offer a 5-years / 247M super max contract to Giannis before the 20-21 season starts. At that point Giannis will be eligible for a contract extension but will still have another season left before his previous contract expires.

Giannis confirmed during multiple interviews he had in Greece that he plans to accept the contract extension which will be offered to him by the Bucks, because he is very satisfied with the organization and wants to win the NBA title with the Bucks.

On the same interview, GM Jon Horst said that the Bucks governors have no objection to go above the luxury tax threshold, but "they have to do it at the right time" (obviously during the 1st season that Giannis contract extension will count in the books)...

The Bucks will most likely have the best record in the NBA and the reigning MVP for 2 consecutive years. They have to cement it with an NBA title or else they are just footnotes with very little meaning.
