Maccabi has team option on all three. Rudd for sure win't stay, Goudelock most chances is out and Miller seems 50/50.
that's what we should hope
gould in 100%
miller in
rudd out
but that's maccabi. a team that is making always same errors . last, adding a c without any shooting ability from mid range and ft line ,so ,without hands, simply muscles and jumps
adding rice and releasing gould would be another absurde step. i guess it will be the next one.
spahjia and a great add like dibastolomeo arent enought if next step are tyus or rice with gould out
ps u doesnt say anything about dramatic duo ohayon-mekel. i'll be not surprised if they will confirm them . a suicide

a so mediocre team like mta , if really wanted to come back as a powerhouse , had to target players like dubjlevic melli higgins. if tyus is the answer to our crisis , we can easily think of 2019-20 season despite dibastolomeo is a great add, players like tyus or the ones who will probably stay (mekel ohayon) would destroy every eventual good step

The team management wants to impose a tough code of conduct next year.

I read some rules included in it (they are correct but quite obvious in my opinion).

The point is made the players respect it. We don't need athletes who spend their time in night clubs or americans who take drugs (Weems).

This is a glorious club and it is a honor playing for it.

With all due respect, Goudelock is not worth a net salary of $2M. Great scorer, but terrible defense and his understanding of team play is lacking. Wastes too much time doing those crossovers and dribbles between the legs that fool himself more than his defender.

Miller is a mystery, a gamble. The question is his health, if he's healthy I would keep him. For the salary in his new contract (about half of his old one) I think it's worth the risk.

yes but considering that Devin Smith with his broken knee is going to stay because of his contract i hope that Miller's heath will be examined very carefully. The team cannot permit itself two injury problems from the beginning.

About Goudelock, if his sacrifice can help to find AT LAST a dominating center I can agree. I would spend the two milions there, not for a pg-sg considering Dibartolomeo's arrival.

2 mln thats why mta will not confirm him. technically ,all teams has a true pure scorer. he is the best one

He's a good scorer but far from being the best one. and most of everything else he doesn't do well.
Not worth $2M net salary (which is over $3M employer cost).

sphjia in first press conference it was clear: mta will be revolutioned and i will decide everythink on market
we ll see

Michael Roll was thrown out of the Tunisian NT because he signed with "a Zionist club".
I'm sure he's devastated...... :)

Mekel is not part of Spahija's plans,he's leaving Maccabbi.Maccabeo should be exited like hell....

From a professional standpoint, it's the right decision. He is a mediocre point guard at best, dribbles too much, bad defender, not a good shooter. His mini-trip to the NBA also made his ego bloat like a Zeppelin. He seems sure he is the God of Basketball, but his play actually got worse since he got back. Even his trademark moves - his power penetration, and his ability to guard taller players in the low-post - are not there anymore, definitely not at Euroleague level.

The question, as always, is the money involved. He has a huge contract, which Maccabi will have to pay. Is the delta between him and Ohayon worth all that money? not sure.

He is rare kind of jerk! He will drain all possible money from Maccabi in order to break a contract, no matter his playing is total disaster. He doesn't have a pride, and he will sue you just like he did with Zvezda, in order to grab the last shekel from you:cool: Basketball fraud as a player and zero level of person, combined with the manager of the same mentality, good luck with contract breach to you....

He can get his full contract, but he will have to sit out an entire season for that. If he chooses to do that, he will have to find a new team when he's 30, after a year of not playing.
In Zvezda at least the reports were that Zvezda didn;t pay his salary for several months he played there. If that's the cases, I justify him completely and you can't have any claims toward him (about that, I mean. About his level of play - that's different...)

yes, about Roll israeli media (sport5 and others) confirm that he is out of the national team of Tunisia. How stupid they are.

I have read nothing about Alexander till now so i suppose he stays.

It seems that Maccabi will be able to play with 6 foreigners in the national league as well thanks to rules change. This helps the plan to part ways with some israeli players.

But Mekel could still be useful for the Winner league. Spahjia should think about it.

wait for official. certain nightmare-players seems having a mistic neverending connection to mta

what a strange and unfavourable calendar, evidently bertomeu's mafia doesn't love particularly teams out of the axis spain-athens-istanbul-moscow.

Maccabi will have to fight against this too.

yes, that connection is called "a contract".
That's what you seem to constantly fail to understand.
I'd be glad to see Mekel out, but he has a contract, so I suppose he will stay. You can't just throw out a player with a binding contract, unless you want to pay him for not playing.

el and bartomeu are the greatest mta friends and sponsors. we shouldnt be a licence a team and we are going to play el intead of jerusalem, something that is totally far from any sport principle. el is allowing mta to stay in el despite our invetiments are such a mediocre last years, just remembring of our golden history. calendar also, come up by a draw and depending on a last year position

6000 annual subscriptions have already been sold by the team.

So the supporters still show their faith. No one expected such a number at this point of the preseason.
