If I'm not wrong this should be his third season here, I like Aubry, he is a great role player.

About Inaugural game, Leo Gutirrez could have his best season in his career, his seems in his prime.

Is good to see Schattmann's getting minutes and hitting 4/4 form 3 PT...

El Nacional jersey is pretty cool

Jonatan MAchuca, Nicolas Aguirre, Saglietti, Gaston Torre, Sebastian Vega, Ferrini, Juan Manuel Torres, Alejandro Diez, Schattmann, Cristian Cortez, etc. I really like how this and other youngsters are using the minutes they are having. I hope this will continue...

It looks to me like the scores are down from what they were a few years ago. I seem to recall that the LNB was a high-scoring league, but these numbers look like the Eastern Conference in the NBA.

Leandro Gutiérrez is one of my favorite Argentine players (if he's the same guy from the NT). He reminds me a lot of Scola. I think he could make the NBA. It's good to see him succeeding and leading Boca.

If you are talking about the 90's, that high scoring was because between 93/-98 the LNB playerd 48-minute games.

I think the NBA is a little too much (he's too short for a PF, and he's 30 years old), but he is definitely the best clutch player today. And a very effective three-point shooter, he shoots more threes than twos nowadays.

True, i must be the season with the most minutes played by young players in some years.

I first heard about Gutierrez in 2002 at Indianapolis, before he joined Ben Hur. In the program, it mentioned that he was an All-Star in the Argentine League (practically everyone on the NT not in Europe was an Argentine All-Star), and he looked the part. His problem now, I think, is age, not skill.

Alermac, I have never believed that a player is "too short" for any position. If they play well at any position, it doesn't matter how tall they are. I think that's a mistake so many managers make. A good example is Malik Rose in the NBA, one of my favorite players. He played 7 or 8 years for San Antonio and won 2 NBA titles as a PF, even though he is "only" 6'7". I suppose the best example of such a player is Charles Barkley, who is what, 6'4"? And Bill Russell was 6'9". It's just that some managers see those physical statistics as being the key. If a player is not a certain height, they just won't put them in the game. It's a shame, if you ask me. So I think Gutierrez could play in the NBA. He certainly has done well against NBA players in FIBA games.

The problem is, those NBA PF's who are short and good enough (like Malik Rose or Paul Millsap) are guys who have great energy, are very quick and powerful, and usually great rebounders. Gutiérrez has one big problem: he is too slow for that. He could play well in an important European league, however.

PS: an interesting fact about Leo Gutiérrez is that, after Indianapolis 2002, he played for a few months in Colombia, since he didn't find a job in Europe because he doesn't have EU citizenship and it was a year when Argentinean LNB salaries were too low because of the December 2001 crisis.
