Kim Young-Man inks a three year deal to coach Wonju Dongbu Promy. He has a tough task ahead where performance of the team relies heavily on the health of Kim Joo-Sung. Early last season, Lee Chung-Hee enjoyed brisk success but it all turned ugly when Kim Joo-Sung missed a number of games then Lee Seung-Jun was out for the season.

Wonju can still pull it and they can compete with any team in the league so long as Joo-Sung is healthy.

Game 6 tonight with the reigning champs, Ulsan Mobis Phoebus leading the series 3-2. Ulsan can finish this tonight. Foul troubles late in the 4th cost LG the game.

Congratulations to Ulsan Mobis Phoebus, 2014 KBL Champions! That makes back to back championships for the club ever since Moon Tae-Young joined them. In this one, Moon put the finishing touches against his former team. Yang Dong-Geun now has four championships and that makes him the greatest point guard in KBL history.

A back to back championship has not been achieved since the days of Daejeon Hyundai Dynat in 1998 & 1999.

As for LG, what an amazing run. We will have more chances in the future to contend as far as Kim Jong-Kyu takes us. I would like Moon Tae-Jong to come back next season.

Moon Tae-Jong was named Most Valuable Player of the 2013-14 KBL season while Kim Jong-Kyu was named rookie of the month, slightly ahead of his close friend, KCC's Kim Min-Goo. Double whammy for LG Sakers in this one, but it would have been far greater had they won the championship.

Best part is that Moon Tae-Jong is very open to return for next season.

Does someone here know if Ekene Ibekwe played in the 2013/14 season in the KBL? I was wondering what he was doing last season and found something about him at http://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/news/article/article.aspx?aid=2975113 as him being the second-round pick for that season. I've also read something about an injury, but not really sure about that.

He was complaining of pain the ankle during a first preseason training. 4 or 6 week of rehabilitation was necessary. Team released.
