another good outing for Kai today, but Yokohama was trailing the entire game and was down double digits since the 1Q, atleast he got the minutes

why will cone even consider him when he has kouame, edu and fajardo at his disposal already? maybe if kai will play for "free" he should be considered but if he will still ask USD400K then f**k off then mr. sotto

I’m sure CTC is more knowledgeable than you… CTC, a PBA legend coach appreciate Kai more than keyboard warriors like you that knows nothing about basketball…

The point is, Kai is not worth a 400k price to play for Pinas. If he wants to play he is welcome but not at that price. He is not worth it.

What can 400k buy nowadays? IMO it's a waste just to use it on Kai. I'd rather use that money for better coaches or NP or even overseas training.

if it's private money it's none of our business lol. besides i've seen the amount mentioned a lot but it's still unconfirmed chismis at this point, even the allegations about dwight & the asian games

what can kai do better than kouame, edu and even fajardo?

fajardo may have the dame defensive shortcomings as kai but he willingly mixes it up with other physical bigs if needed and he can score on his own down low just by going for offensive rebounds.

the real bullsh*t here is you

easy. Kai can draw more crowds to watch games he is in. we can argue JMF can do that too, but JMF does it with San Mig and their other stars. i dont recall roughly same media clout when he was with UC or ABL before.

on a serious note, Kai is still important for the main reason that there is a steep dropoff with our bigs behind him height-wise. among the eligible young centers who are in the Philippines, who can you consider above Kai in case JMK and Japeth dont play and AJ is injured? Carino? Arana? these are skilled players but not necessarily better than Kai. and even if they are more skilled, I dont think its enough to compensate the height that you will forego if you make Kai get off the bench instead of starting him.
Balti and Carl can play spot 5, but again, is that something CTC would like to do for an extended period of time?
