Jordan NT is powerful. Why its junior team is weak?

Jordan basketball teams no matter the NT or the club team are strong in Asia. But its junior teams are never good. Who can tell me the reason? I can't understand. In the other words, where are the good players in NT now from? Weren't they play for junior NT when they were boys?

well, basketball is not popular in jordan its only being played in some private schools in amman at junior level, so we don't produce talent players ,only two or three players every couple of years that is not enough to make a strong junior team but on senior level its ok, because on senior level you have players from the age of 20 to 36 , so including two players every two years in the senior team is enough.

I'm sure the problems that Jordan was having with their league and also federation also affected the development of their junior teams as well.

it has nothing to do with the problems the league faced in the last three years, the last and only decent junior team we have was in 1995.

Yeah but if the Jordanian federation didn't have financial and other problems i'm sure they would have been able to better prepare the Jordanian youth teams by sending them to tournaments abroad and letting them prepare better for their relative youth championships (U16, U18...).

OT: I watched the Jordanian girls in the 3x3 FIBA World Championships here in Athens last night and they are playing very good games so far even though they lost to Romania and Turkey (same teams Lebanon lost to in the men's division). The Jordanian girls are being represented by Rubi Habash, Lubna Nasser, Dina Halasa and Dana Faddah.

and the only reason that junior team of 1995 was good because it has three centers zaid alkhas(2.06 cm), maen odeh (2.07 cm), ashraf samara (2.06 cm), nothing was special regarding the gurards or forwards in that team , and asharaf samara and maen odeh actually came from kuwait in 1991 .

khalid, the federation always sends U18, U16 teams to turky and lebanon but there are few talents on these teams, without spreading the game outside amman there will be no junior teams at all, there are alot of talents outside amman but no one cares, on jordan national basketball team page on facebook they are talking now about a young boy(15 years old) of height of more than 210 cm with athletic body from ajloun who refused to join alriyadi aramex in amman he wants to stay at his village, so it is important to take the game outside amman if we want to succed on jounior level.

I think they have no grassroots program! because football is their primary sport.
