Maybe it's too early to say and they need more good games to prove it, but we see last few weeks new Hapoel Jerusalem that becomes the team with players who make united efforts to achieve the club's goals.

After today's victory with 15 pt. margin against Ventspils in ULEB Cup, some Israeli sports media gave the compliment to Dror Hagag "Sharp of Hapoel", because that small Israeli player with big soul reminded us MTA's captain.

Yeah, I've heard Hagag described like that. Also heard Nitzan Hanochi called a younger version. Another player too, I forgot. I guess Sharp must be hated so much that Israelis want another one (Sabbra!).

Anyways, good to see Jeru step up their game. However, it seems no matter what they do this season, they are doomed next (no Gaidamak, debts...).

Congrats the rival team of Hapoel Jerusalem after their easy victory over Bnei Hasharon 103-85 . Hagag and Austin were great.
It was great show time of the red team and their fans. Nokia Arena was full and I've heard about very high touting prices for the tickets just before the game.

Please find here :)

BTW congrats to Hapoel's coach Dan Shamir! :D He's very young (only 31 y.o.) and new prospect of Israeli basketball coaching school!

and Jurica Golemac posted nice numbers yesterday in a league match. 15 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. yes, a triple double!

I don't know how it happened but Hapoel are playing up to their potential after being on the verge of collapsing. I think they can beat Maccabi for the league and take the ULEB Cup to make it a treble. Although for the first time it will be harder to win the ULEB Cup then the league.

I know this is a bizarre thought but if the Lakers can't acquire for Kidd next season maybe they should sign Meir Tapiro. He's an experience veteran that knows how to win, he's as fast as anyone else, he's a great scorer that is better at running an offense and better than Smoosh Parker. He would do unexpectedly well if an older Anthony Parker surprised the nba this year.

It's hilarious that you even mentioning Anthony Parker and Tapiro in one phrase.
Parker is legitimate NBA opening five player and if NBA teams weren't blind few years ago he would be a star. (However, I do think that Maccabi gave him as much as received - he left much better player than came).
Tapiro always made in pants when played against Maccabi and in his best days he wasn't good enough for NBA (He tried some NBA summer camps few years ago, and did not succeed). He isn't stable and consistent enough.
He is not bad player (He is probably EL class player) - he's just not good enough for NBA.

Parker would of been a better player a few years ago in the nba but not a star. Probabily a 15 ppg player. About Tapiro he's playing the best he ever had. I would like to see him be given a legitimate shot with the Lakers. Not an Oded Kattish shot but an opportunity to show what he can do in the nba. To me he looks like he could be successful there.

Parker is 12 ppg right now... And same as Parker, Kattash and Tapiro not in the same league...
Tapiro is old and is not good for NBA - how many times do you want to hear it?

Tapiro can't defend anyone. Anyways, he did - if memory serves me right - played on a summer league team for the Heat, but hardly played and didn't do much.

He, BTW, is nowhere near the same class as Mr. Parker.

What does that mean? The Knicks WANTED him!

Parker was a 12 ppg player in the PL last year. He was a great player in the right system. By no means was he in an elite class far away from Tapiro in talent. And I was referring to Kattish tryout with the Lakers.

Kattache was done by then.

We are just going to have to disagree. AP was an elite player on an elite (or Elite) Maccabi team. Tapiro wasn't even a good back up. Plus, he isn't playing all that much better now then in the last few years. He did good in France and when he was at Bnei. Now imagine what Parker would have done on those teams.

Kattish tried out with the Lakers before the Knicks. Anyway Tapiro would be a perfect fit for the Lakers (historically a horrible defensive team) even though you underate Tapiro's defense.

It's hard to underrate Tapiro's defense - he has none...

Like Vujcic, Sharp, Bynum and Arnold interesting. Why am I the one defending Tapiro anyway I'm the mormon.
