We got a good group with England,Bosnia and Czech.
For me it looks we're favorites to go to the eurobasket from the 1st place.

Players who got invited to the pre-eurobasket training camp.
[if anybody got the full roster tell me and i'll edit]

*those who are in BOLD is the players who will probably particpate the 2009 eurobasket because of the last eurobasket and their year they had, others who isn't in bold still got good chances but their status remain unknown till the camp will begin.

Coach: Zvi Sherf.

Meir Tapiro [Bnei-Hasharon].
Yotam Halperin [Olympiakos].

SG's:
Raviv Limonad [Ironi Nahrihia]
Matan Naor [Ironi Nahrihia]

Our national team for the eurobasket 2009 looks promising and in good shape, we have young, fresh, and good players such as Yogev Ohayon who showed a great season, Omri Casspi who I don't need to expend on, and Yuval Naimi who will have the chance to shine.

I think this year we got very very good and quality players that we must use and finally get rid of the 11-7 place and go big, I think this eurobasket we can go far, we have the potential and players. I hope this time we'll break the 2nd Group stage level and go 'till the quarterfinals, my heart says this time it's Israel time to shine and maybe we'll suprise europe. I'm talking about final-four, but before that, we got the qualification games.

Good Memories.

This year, I have a good feeling, my heart says we will suprise in the eurobasket and I keep wishing, and hoping we'll finally show everybody who is Israel.

No Afik Nissim or Izik Ohanon?

And Amit Tamir is a waste. It's like he get's worse year by year...

Afik Nissim doesn't want to be in the national clothes anymore, Ohanon just went downhill and I don't have any idea where he play and what he does,

Amit Tamir is the big guy who throwes crucial 3 pointers when needed [see the game vs croatia], besided, he got in shape this year with Holon and he's a good player.

Ohanon? in my garden I won't put him in the roster.

Do you reckon that Mario Matalon will be veer good enough for Israel NT?

Never heard that about Afik...reason? As far as Tamir goes, he's just slow and inconsistant. Never lived up to his potential (which can be said for a lot of Israeli ballers).

As for Ohanon, last time I heard he was playing well in Belgium.

Garden? How 'bout on the court.

Personally I like him, he's got good handle, very athletic, solid D, and is an all around player.

So that the reason that he scores 0.5 points per a game in the 13th devision in Belguim?

Who's Mario Matalon? and what his connection to Israel?

LOL, you mean D1 and averaging 8.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.0 spg?

If he didn't get a call-up it means he isn't good enough. End of story.

Well there's Marios Matalon, but he's Greek.

Only one naturalized player is allowed. AFAIK it's gonna be Chris Watson.

Lior Elyahu [Maccabi Tel-Aviv]
Not sure about this one, following the bad blood between him and Sherf. Yet another reason why the NT coach cannot be the coach of an Israeli team (especially one that sends so many players to the NT).

we all know what Lior's worth, and how much he can contribute, if Sherf will keep fuck*ng him 'cause of Maccabi, so he shall not be longer the Israeli squad coach.

Lior is just pure talent and he can give so much to the game, I whould like to see him play alot, I DARE SHERF TO FUCK WITH ME.

Erez Katz and Chris Watson as SFs...LOL
Some people must get their eyes from the stat sheets and web reports asses and start watching this weird game called basketball...

Hey you talk like the guy in your avatar. :D
But seriously, even Eliyahu was skeptical about his chances to be summoned to the final roster. Maybe it was just an aftershock of his current season in Maccabi.

So what you want Chris Watson to play? PF/C?
he's perfect for me as a SF,

So as Erez Katz, Katz doesn't have the shooting for SG or the PG abillity, but he's doing good job in the SF spot, what the hell you want?
