Semifinals today:

I've read that the final will be broadcasted on Channel 10, which should be FTA. Any links, please?
BTW, normally Israeli time is CET +1. Is it true that Israeli time is CURRENTLY equal to CET?

This game looks like the last league game maccabi played in Jerusalem vs. the local team. Respect.

yes, DTS here was over a few weeks or so, should be like that till the end of the month, Germany wise.
Stream here.

Toda.

I was following this game after intermission and judging from what I have seen online and via livescore, the whole game was a carussell of each team winning one quarter big time, totally sucking in the next one, winning another one, sucking again. Wisniewski had yet another big game and his team did not play well with him on the floor. Strange thing, as I know him as a dependable scorer with good FG%. His defense was good quite often. Gotta review this game anyway later this week.

Tre Simmons got his revenge on Pini Gershon. In the interview I have heard that Hapoel Jerusalem is still looking for a guard and a center. Should they come up with two decent players there, they are going to have a really deep roster. My congratulations go to the Holy City!

Why didn't Perkins play? Why so few minutes for Green (statistically he looked good) and Lampe?

Perkins was out of roster because there is a new league rule: only 6-non Israelis can be registered for a game

Basically Pini tested his new players . Fischer also played less then usual despite Hapoel fiesta in the paint

The Wiz played terrible game: let alone his bad in game decisions and 3/10 FG : he almost lead to Alan Anderson injury

You probably confused him with Alan Anderson ( 26 pts )

Tre Simmons got his revenge, that's for sure :D

Oh man... of course, I meant BAD game, not BIG.

Testing new players is good but not in the final of a tournament, which kicks off the season.

How has he been doing in previous games? I was surprised Maccabi signed Wisniewski, imo not a player that is Maccabi level, even if maybe elite point guard skills aren't needed with Eidson and Anderson around.

Edit: Minus 33 in the +/- category in a game lost by six and noone else even close. :o

Maccabi is kinda overloaded with PGs, so it seems The Wiz is under pressure not to make any mistakes .. First games he was preoccupied with giving assists , hardly threatening the opponent's basket.

Last two games Pini asked him to shoot more , but it was counter productive : nearly all his attempts were rushed ones and with a bold lack of confidence  The fact that this game Mekel was a starting PG (due to BSL law) , it seems also had an impact on Wisniewski .

Hopefully the Wiz will recover from such a bad start  With big ego players like Andersen and Perkins , there should be a balance with unselfish guys like him

Technically there is additional preparation game vs. Panionios on Sunday.

But I'm kinda glad we lost: players will be more motivated against Olimpija , nearly all games before it ended with a blow-outs, so a loss was needed to get the players down on the ground

agree.
eidson looks like he wanna give more asts then points and that's stupid because without anderson, we have no scorrer, but the one surprised me is pnini who took it on himself and did it really good, i hope that eidson would wake up soon.
about wisniewski its just a matter of time, when he gets confidence he'll get to hi's reall %
about lampe i guess pini taught him a lesson after the game with galil/gilboa otherwise why dressing him and leaving perkins out yet he didn't let him play

Who was that guy in a HapJer baseball hat, whi later lifted the trophy along with Yuval Naimi? Looks like Mozinsson but it cannot have been him, right?

No, Mossinzon will play in the third division this year. ( The third division in Israel!!! ).

The guy that you are spoken about is Gumma Agair, He is the sponsor of Hapoel Jerusalem. This year he donate a loth of money to Jerusalem Football and Basketball teams.

He seems to be a really funny nice guy, he love the attention from the media and the fans. And he lifted his first trophy after a mouth, not a bad start for a begginer :)?

goma agier or however you spell it, he is this rich jewish-brazilian-american and he first became the sponsor of Beitar Jerusalem (my favorite team in football) which is one of the biggest football clubs in Israel with probably the biggest crowd, and got in financial problems so he helped and as soon as it'll be legally posible he'll become the owner, then hapoel jerusalem (basketball) got in some serious trouble so he helped them with alot of money, and from what i know from Beitar he became a fan of the team and he loves to celebrate with the fans and all that, in the time-outs and between quarters they said he danced with the cheerleaders, i think he is hyper-active or something :D but he's a cool owner huh?

A second coming of Marc Cuban? ;-)I would like more people to sponsor Israeli teams in order to make the championship more competitive even in stronger MTA years. They have to go out to Europe and compete in the Eurocup and Eurochallenge etc.

How he has fallen and he had potential.

It would be nice if Cuban, Malcolm Glazer or Roman Abramovich would invest in Israeli B-ball like Guma and Jeffrey Rosen have.

actually the team mossinzon went to has a pretty big potential to make it to the first division in 2 years..

What team and why is it so promising?

My original comment was based on him never living up to his potential (feel the same way about Izik Ohanon).

hapoel galil elyon-katzerin. from what i've seen you know the Israeli baketball so i bet you know about galil elyon who was one of the best baketball teams and now mixed with hapoel gilboa (which was once part of hapoel gilboa/afula and when they fell to the second division they deserted afula and teamed up with galil elyon that was in financial problems and helped with the money, the team now plays in Gan-ner in gilboa which is kinda far from the last location in Kfar blum so the fans wanted their old team back so they started this new team and now they are kinda strong and it seems that just like hapoel osishkin tel aviv (also in third division) they'll soon be in the first division
