how to win in asia championship 2009

  • Thread starter Thread starter lebanese NT2
  • Start date Start date
About our Nt lebanon ,to win the Asian champ 2009:
we have 2 missions :
- stop Iran under the basket with a Dteam on hadadi and make him out ,after taking from him a lot of fouls (mission will be by matt ,vroman***,ali kannan, daniel faris),+stop kamrani and bahrami with a good deffence on them and pressure (by ali mahmoud ,jean abdelnour(fast),matt...)
if we stop these 3 guys ithink Lebanon can win easily and for sure(3 keys players)
Vroman will have the big mission in this match ,he will deffend hadadi ,his mission is to take fouls from hadadi and down his fouls !!!use box out in deffence to keep an easy rebound,Use fast break ....

-the second difficult match will be forsure against China ,the dificult team in this tournemant ,we have to use tall player in the court and fast players ,and the mission will be the defence underthebasket ,and use fast break and play with good chemistry and scores ,it will be the dificult match ,but Nothing is impossible ,so Good Luck for Our NT, if they apply these settings we will win the Asian champ for Sure !!!!:D:D:cool::cool:

How to win ASIA?????

A big mission guys, starting with Jordan in the first round, Iran in the semi Final, and China in the final.

How to beat Jordan????

It is not a big deal, Just look at the lineups:

Douglas........ Ali Mahmoud: Height mismatch for Jordan, Speed Mis Match for Lebanon.

Rashim Wright......Fadi: Speed MisMatch for rashim, under the basket mismatch for Fadi, If bryan will guard rashhim, things will get easier.

Zeid Abbas....... Bryan: Shooting mismatch for bryan, inside game mismatch for zeid, both are great defenders.

We still have the big men comparison. Whatever the Jordan lineup is concerning big men (Maaytah, zeid el khas, Ayman D3ays, islam abbas), Vroman and Freije can beat them easily.

So with good benches from both sides, it will be a tough game, I vote for Lebanon, if we can use the weapon FREIJE-VROMAN.

How to beat IRAN??

Simply their starting lineup will be :

Kamrani
Afagh
Samad Nikkah
Sahakian(Doraghi or kardoust mighht play for taller lineup)
Ahadadi

The keys of the game:

1- Ali mahhmoud full denying Kamrani, with very high pressure
2- Bryan kicking Samad's ass, like he usually does , when he has defensive responsiblities
3- Double teaming Ahadadi, but the most important is to prevent easy passes for the best center in the tournament.
4- Play easy basketball, without complication

Using these tips, the iranian team will find itself beaten by Lebanon by at least double Figures. I pick Lebanon

How to beat China????

To beat China, God must be the sixth Player.
Nobody can ignore, even with Yao's Absence, that China is still number one.

Their top player is Jian Lian, that is the most Asian player I have ever seen.
He is better that fadi, Vroman, matt, he will be soon the new chinese star after YAO!!!

So the only way to beat China, and to grap the title is by praying(Iam not kidding) and by playing with full power, full focus, and with our hearts.

you can go pray ....
but our players are busy planning, training and concentrating for a win ;)

Yao and Yi ... I've already mentioned that in a previous topic, that Yao's absence means nothing for China (techncially) ... maybe it does a little morally not more.

2- Bryan kicking Samad's ass, like he usually does , when he has defensive

Good luck with that :)
This is my personal point of view, and I don't intend to start a flame:
Samad is superior to Beshara in all the categories (Beshara might, just might grab more rebound/game that's about it).
"like he usually does " Beshara has never done a good job controlling samad defensively and it's unlikely that he will, given their age difference (Samad 25/Beshara31).
Beshara was responsible for defending Samad at Jones Cup ad we all saw what happened n the 4th quarter.
Besides all that Beshara lacks consistency, one day he shoots well the other day nothing gets in.

STOP CHINA! It is easier said than done with China having homecourt advantage and NBA-talented players like Yi Jianlian. I wonder whether China is feeling concerned about the rising Middle East trio of Iran, Lebanon and Jordan.
Our players even could see the CBA USA import Matter Feirije ,and Wang Zhizhi could see his NBA opponent Vorman in asia championship .

I think China's feeling just like the coach of Iran.:D
But thay do not complain ,What thay should do is win the asia championship 2009 。

Philippines:
If Philippines is having a great day especially with their outside shots and if Iran is playing below normal we might have a competition there. Otherwise it shouldn't be a though game for Iran.

Korea:
They are experts at passes and screens in offense, all the sudden you are left with a player without any defense around him in a 2m radius! So you have to play zone defense with them to not get caught in the screens.
offensively I think there are some mismatches there specifically at C, which could be exploited.

Lebanon:
you should play man-man defense you can't afford to have any mismatch to happen with zone (ex. Kamrani- El khatib).
On defence the PG should be close to the penalty line when Mahmoud or Fahad dn't have the ball so he can help out The C (steal, offensive foul) with Vroman. If the Lebanese PG are having a good day with their 3s, they should abandon this plan.
Lebanon is a relatively big team and they could be slow in transitions to defense(El khatib, Beshara aging players, Vroman, Frejie not extremely fast), you have to take the utmost advantage here when hamed grabs the board half of the players should be in Lebanons court already!
Haddadi should stay calm and out of foul trouble
Slashing should be carried out from the side where Vroman is the get him in foul trouble or free up Haddadi when Vroman leaves haddadi to defend the slasher.

Jordan :
Haven't seen any of their games but I assume that it will be a though one like Lebanon

China:
Haven't seen their game. But generally speaking they are in another category, a notch above other Asian teams. if they play awfully bad and you play a great game you might have some chance.

Yes i believe so, they will go to turkey and sit besides me to watch the games and cheer for Lebanon. :D

why would we do that? LOL... Just kidding my friend...

The only way to win the Asian Championship is to SCORE MORE POINTS THAN YOUR OPPONENT... It works all the time.... anyway, there will be a close door game Philippines vs Lebanon here in our country later..... It's a shame I can't watch!

you should be careful with what you are saying. who knows in the end, you'll be the one who's crying and we, laughing...never ever underestimate our team! you know i like your naturalization procedure(very fair), its like in one popular joke here when a japanese rode a cab. after bragging and bragging about their japanese cars, he learned that the meter of the taxi that he's riding is also japanese-made, it is freaking fast! :D

Bryan Bechara, is the best guards and forwards defender in the middle east(including foreign players in the leagues), he guarded chudney gray one day, and in 20 minutes of guarding, chudney was not able to score a single point.

Anyway, Bryan's shooting skills are the best maybe in Asia, he was called in the LSU in NCAA by the WHITE SHOOTER.
So please before critisizing our players, just take a look about their history.

Anyway, this is not important cz we might not face u in the semi final. u still have problems with east-asian teams!!!

From the Sun Tzu Ping Fa:

Know the enemy and know yourself.... Easier said than done, but the quoting tells all the concern in emphasis in scouting and devising a strategem just like the Chinese tacticians of old.

Nulling the opponent's strategy is the pinnacle of strategy

if you want to talk basketball, talk technically ... don't remember past games.

each game has its own planning ....

otherwise, if you want to see things this way ... Lebanon was supposed to win the 2007 asian championship because they already beat iran by 20 pts.. few days before the final .....

China close to beat spain? That will be in China's dreams my friend ... i didn't watch the game to know, but if Spain plays full power against China full power, spain will win 10/10 games.

China is tough ... Lebanon is tough .... it's a 50/50 chance ... and the game is between coaches .... both teams have enough stars to compete now.

I assume u didn't watch the 2008 Olympics?

Against Spain in the Olympic Games we led them until the last minutes in regular time, and once led by 15(?)...According to your words do you mean we dragged Spain to OT just because Spain didn't play full power in a formal Olympic Game?

Lebanon lost to China twice in the asian championships with a very close margin, both below 10 pts ..... and one of those games witnessed a fight, and the lebanese players go beaten up before they lost by 6 pts ....

4 years later .. Lebanon got new players to its team whom all asian media is talking about ... and most team coaches are now being concerned about ....

yet after all this .... most Chinese forumers in here say that Lebanon has 15% chance to win over China NT.

in such a case my friend ..... and under such measures .... China NT has 1% chance to win over Spain NT.

This is your analysis of course not mine .... to me, i believe in a win and a loss only.... 50 pts, 100pts, or 1 pt ... a win is a win and a loss is a loss .... and for as long as China wins over Lebanon, despite of the difference, China will always be better ... and the moment Lebanon wins over china, Lebanon will be better until proven otherwise.

History remembers score ... not team situations/problems ...

China NT has 1% chance to win over Spain NT.

.

I agree, but the chance you beat France wasn't much higher than that...
Just because finally we lost the game, you said that's our dream. But the truth is,according to the game,we can give Spain a good fight, and with a more healthy Yao,we may have won the game.

technically speaking .... neither you nor Lebanon have the chance to win over France or spain ....

you did a good competition and might have won.
and we were able to win over France ..

this proves that only the play on court can decide who wins ... eventhough chances might be high or low ... surprises have their times.

Another ignorant post.........

China beated Lebanon in 2005 Asia Championship with 14 margins
and in 2003 asia champs we beated you with 110-71
back to 2001 we beated you with 97-63
Both were larger than 10 points
SO YOU ALWAYS LIVE IN YOUR DAMN DREAMS

Try to google it before you post

And
most Chinese forumers in here say that Lebanon has 15% chance to win over China NT..........
are they???:eek::eek:
they're so pessimistic:D:D.I just think it would be 0.00000001%

History remember scores and it remember China was unbeatable for you

Bechara may have been the best shooter in NCAA and he may have guarded Michael Jordan not letting him even score a single point. But when it comes to defending Samad, judging by the 3 or 4 encounters that they have had at the national level he hasn't done a good job.
We do have problem with east asian teams generally, hopefully they will deal with it this time around.

It's not about 1 player it's about a team, Iran have a good roster but yet this time it's not Jones cup and our roster is way way better than last Asian Championship. I don't think we should worry about Samad we should focus on the full roster just as we have many good players Iran, China and even other teams do so we have to improve our Defense and I believe Coach Dragan is able to do it specially being known for his great work on D with every team he coached so I guess this time it would be a little bit harder to get the 20 pts in the 4th quarter for Samad, anyway we would have to wait and see;)
