OK, I want everyone's thoughts on this. On the fan forum of the NBA team the Houston Rockets, they are talking about how come Luis Scola cannot dunk the ball in the NBA.

There are the typical American fan responses like "because they actually play defense in the NBA" or "he's no longer in a crap league like Euroleague" or whatever.

However there are a whole bunch of posts, from several people saying it is because "the rim is shorter in Euroleague than it is in the NBA so the players that cannot jump as high can actually dunk there". These are serious posts and they really BELIEVE this is true.

LMFAO there is literally no end to the level of ridiculousness that many of the American NBA fans have reached. I think they are suffering from an inferiority complex now big time. They have not won crap in 8 years in international basketball and are starting to realize they are no longer as good as they claim they are. They are overcompensating now at a ridiculous level.

"Scola can't dunk in the NBA like he could in Euroleague because of course in Euroleague the rim is not as high as it is in the NBA."

:) :)

holy....
They did?
they really have no respect to us...Europeans and Asia...
they think they are the only one who could do that shit...
F***!! they should come to Europe and Asia to measure it...

all NBA teams rim is regular at 10 ft, Araneta Coliseum at PBA is 10ft. I've been in Europe last-last past years I've seen less than 10ft a bit.. It looks like 9.8ft approximately..

I think in all the gyms used by the pros, all over the world, the rims are at regular height, 3m05 anyway. From NBA to N1, through EL or PBA.

exactly.
I'll give this thread a chance in NBA forum.

I'm gonna tell you something: A friend of mine once told me he's seem Tony Parker giving himself an alley-oop of the rim... Yes, he can dunk too, even in the NBA... :D
But, he won't do it too often.

Same in France sometimes, it just depends on what type of university you chose... :D
Everybody tries to be sport teacher...

Yes, but polemicate is fun... :D :D :D

Can you imagine Nash dunking? Someone found proof in any direction? Didn't manage to find anything... :(

Exactly - if you listen to Lithuania forums then you will find that Rytas team is most corrupted mafia syndicat and Vilnius is village where lives only polish imigrants.

I think there should be created another topic dedicated to most interesting thoughts of basketball fans :)

It's just ridiculous though that these Houston Rockets fans are so arrogant that they actually believe the rim is lower in Europe because the players "can't jump as high". Where the hell does this kind of arrogance come from anyway about the game "sucks so bad" in Europe?

Why are you so upset? It is obviously true since no white man really can dunk. Well, unless your name is Ginobili ofcourse.

Well, Im off to my weekly European baby molestation and child drowning course at the University. Next week I have a test -we need to drown two babies in the blood of kittens we have bitten the head of, in under five minutes. Now that, that calls for practice!

Could you just shut up for once? The world isnt as bad of a place as you think it is...

Why do you even read them then? Sure, kids write that, but arent you one also, if all of that stupidity gets you frustrated and angry all the time. Deal with your imaturity yourself and enough of bringing all of that stuff here. Stop embarassing my city and my favourite team by constant whining of yours. Leave it be...

Besides, noone here cares about this stuff here anyways.
