We have comeback from 19 points lead, that was all i wanted to see from this match. Tanjevic didn't want this match to go to OT.
Congrats to both teams, Slovenia just lives and dies with their treys today, that's all.

Crappy game! (but we won so don't get me wrong, I am happy we beat the strong Turkey team).
We had a very good 3 point shooting game. Granted, Turkey wanted us to play that way but shooting more for 3 point than 2 is a big no no.
I don't know what was with E. Lorbek today. He was a non factor. Was he rested? I don't think so. Maybe we should play Brezec more. I know Zdovc wanted to contain Ilyasova with quicker center line but we lacked physical presence under the basket.
Congrats to Turkey though. But I hope you will play more of a team basketball because when you do you are great. Sure, Ilyasova and Hedo (and Arslan) can score in a row but that can prove to be your downfall with the Greece team. When you are down by 19 (I am sure some Croatian frieds got a painfull flashback) okay, you need individual, fast play but you wouldn't be in a hole if you played as a team in the first play.
Hope we meet you again in the finals!

After the Slovenian collapsus in the 2nd and 4th quarter, it is a miracle they still managed to win this one. I give them congrats. On the other hand, what are the Turks thinking? This was like a knock-out game. They were supposed to complete their comeback. This way, they will convince the Slovenians that they can actually win a real knock out one

Lakovic and the others beat Turkey.. I said Lakovic and the others because i see that Slonevia is an ordinary team WITHOUT Lakovic.
And I think Tanjevic made a mistake in the last seconds of game. He wanted his team to try 3 points. Ender should easily score 2 points but he gave a pass for 3 points. I think that was a totally mistake. It was too easy to score 2 points... And also Slovenia was a bit luckier than Turkey whole game..
Anyway.. I think we'll play with Greece in qf. But im happy about that because beating Greece will be more fun than Crotia...

They clearly have the best team in Europe...why they choke so much! They always blow away big leads! Is it "dead periods", what the hell is wrong with them?
Once again, Slovenia plays the best bb in Europe for the time but should be very careful against Croatia. Is not going to be an easy game......

Hi guys! I`ve been reading this forum for the last few days, this post made me lol so much I finally had to register.
Strange game - Slovenia threw more 3pt than 2t.

I believe none of the coaches wanted to go in over time to keep players as fresh as possible. Therefore it was clear decision by Turkey, that they should try a 3pt or lose the game rather than continue playing.
And the last shot was pure luck on slovenian side - it could go in just as well as it happened to miss.
Other than that, I wasn't able to watch the first half, but judging from second half and radio broadcast of 1st one, I don't think Slovenia scored that many 3pts - maybe there were a lot of them comparing to other teams, but compared to previous matches it wasn't anything special.
Eventhough we won, I think this was our worst match yet. It may be due to zone defense or simply Turkey's strenght but I also think we didn't have the best day.
And to ones, who are claiming that everything is on Lakovič - it's hard not to put everything on him, if he is the only available PG. Dragič should be back in QF, but what really impressed me over the course of this tournament is that every game there was another player that shined. It's true, that in the last 3 games that was Lakovič, but only because of the aforementioned reason. Nachbar didn't show much in the second group part but today he proved just how valuable he is. And I strongly hope that in next games, other players show their talent as well.
