Congrats to Slovenia.

Polska's lack of depth in the bench has made its real effects today and, their go-to guys Lampe, Gortat, Logan are all suffered the consequences of playing so many minutes til now.

Too bad for Poland if they were in the other group they could have had a better chance but it's really easy to stop them (just stop the big guns in Gortat, Lampe and Logan and you'd be in good hands.

Impressed by Slovania for not letting up despite having the big lead--- shows you the character of the team. They are really in a on mission to leave their mark in this Eurobasket.

If Lorbek continues like this he has a legit chance at MVP... also I'm really happy that Udrih stepped up. Really great game for him, lead the team and made some shots when it counted.

Impressive performance by Slovenia. They truly play the best basketball of the tournament.
I think this year maybe their year.

Congrads again

Udrih and Lovrek duo controlled the game fantasticaly.

With this win of Slovenia over Poland 3 teams are certain in 1/4 finals(Turkey,Slovenia and Serbia), just to see who is gonna join them, Spain or Poland... But i'm 99% its gonna be Spain

Lakovič seemed tired to me. More than usually. Hopefully we won't burn him out before the quarterfinals. Great game and more than deserved victory for us.

Congrats to our neibhurs. Bravo Dežela!:D And Congrats to Poland, they gave their best in this turnament. I hope that this eurobaket will give big bost to their bakset.

So no miracle after all. After promising first half, complete meltdown in second part of the game. That just proves how weak Bulgaria and Lithuania were

Btw, an interesting article can be found here: Marcin Gortat: Some people need to look in the mirror. Just an excerpt:
After three full games of the first phase members of the team had two days for recuperation, but not all focused on the rest - the part of players to night clubs hosted in Wrocław. After arriving in Lodz cameras caught Logan yawning, Lampe - with the consent of the coach - slept in Wroclaw longer and arrived at the hotel later on his own.

I really look forward to see Slovenia in Katowice on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. If that is the case, I'll try to wear something green :D Kto nie skacze, nie Słoweniec, hej hej hej :D

Haha, bratje Slovani dobrodošli!:)

Too bad Dragič is out for the tournament....Maaaaan I'm so pissed right now. We lost Beno who is far the best PG of Slovenia, Smodiš played only few minutes in the whole tournament and now Dragič...God damn. Lakovič will die out there...I think we'll take a chance and rest the injuried guys on the game with Turkey. I think we can beat them. I watched Serbia - Turkey today and saw nothing special at all.

Yes, but for some reason it is hard for Slovenians to say something positive about Lakovic.

Elaj, of course he would be tired. He didn't go to the bench even for one second until 2 minutes before the end when he was taken out. I was even mention this issue to Slovenians that I spoke with here in Lodz - saying that Lakovic should have get more rest. They answered with giggling "But it is Lakovic, he is a winner, he don't need to rest he we will be OK".
IMO for now he is the best PG in this tournament.

EDIT:
Now I've read about Dragic. Probably these Slovenians also didn't know about that.
He really didn't play and that explains everything.
I cannot belive it! Slovenia is my favorite team, playing the most beautifull basketball. WOW! How unlucky a team can be?

A comment about Lakovic from Gasper Okorn, a well known Slovenian coach:

"Lakovic is a superman! He has shown his maturity today and the reason he is the starting PG of Barcelona. He knew that he was going to play the whole game agains home team but he performed like superman! You don't need to look at his shooting stats but be more aware of his ball control, six assists, rebounds and superb pick'n roll plays. He was also calm about Polish provocations (meaning constant double team and whole court pressing)."

Don't worry we all have been eating delicious crow served in giant portions by one Jaka Lakovic he has just been phenomenal and Zdovc is ofcourse using him as a SG mostly even yesterday when Samo Udrih took over a lot of the PG duties.

Samo took over a lot but Jaka was the PG. E.Lorbek also helped in playmaking from the C possition, and still, there was only one PG in your team.
