Group E, Day 6: Russia-FYROM

Mozgov is an absolute beast. Just imagine a Russian front line of Mozgov, Kirilenko, Khryapa.......scary.

Good win by Russia. Unbelievable that they somehow managed to go 3-0 in this round, with the roster they have. This is definitely Blatt's best coaching job ever.

Russia's roster is pretty strong. They don't have any go to scorers, but other than that it's a strong roster. Lots of athletes, lots of size, length, and athleticism and a very good defensive team. Actually I think their team this year is noticeably better than their team last year.

Very unlucky for Macedonia, Macedonians deserved to win... Anyway whatever happens we will never stop suporting them, GO GO MACEDONIA

Are you serious? I expected more from you

Well, I don't like the idea of being in danger of finishing 3rd. Why should I want Russia 2 win this game? The first thing I care about in this tournament is Greece.
Besides if Croatia beats Germany, FYROM would b eliminated anyway, even if they won.

Unbelievable!

Russian team made all his points from the paint, but 2 (!!!) shots:

one 3-pointer by Bykov
one 2-pointer from the mid. range also by Bykov

All the rest were dunks, lay-ups or FT :D

The next opponent of Russia is a lucky team...

I strongly disagree. Put this group of Russian players on the open market for any team in Europe to choose from and you would have very few takers amongst the Euroleague squads for anyone except Mozgov and McCarty. I actually think they may have the weakest backcourt of any team in the Eurobasket.

I don't even know where to begin. I won't even try to discuss this as it's just too wrong on too many levels.

Another wonder from russian stats:

Mozgov 11 rebounds, 10 of them in offense :D
