Anyway (despite it's stupid and completely far from the spirit of sports to chose the opponent: if Turkey is 1st, Slovenia is 2nd, Serbia is 3rd, Spain is 4th, it means that Turkey, Slovenia and Serbia have shown to be better teams than Spain in this tournament. And normally it's better to avoid the most difficult opponents...), even if it was clear that Greece played against itself and the goal was the third place, someone has been so stupid to send his team very close to the overtime.

now i'm confused:S Greece is in the 2nd place according to Eurobasket website?

The good thing is that because of the fact Turkey that has reached the quarterfinal and might even win it, Greece has two more opportunities to qualify for the WC10.

Quite funny but within 4 days the medals managed to move two years away for our team:D
I agree, it seems very hard to reach the semis....if they do everything is open
 
We must not judge Greece by the performance-and the results, which by the way, could very easily be different- of the last 2 matches but from its overall performance till now in the tournament. I think that at the beginning of the eurobasket if we knew that we were going to finish the second round at the 3rd position with a 4-2 record so far, and most of all the fact that our opponent in the quarter finals would be either Slovenia or Turkey, most ones will not be sorry for these facts. After all, the rotation in the guards is poor and it was quite expected that the solutions in those positions for Greece are few and some bad performances/fatigue would come at some point.Now the team has 2 days off, and they will have the time to rest and to be ready.
 
Bouroussis has to find a way to foucs again and to find his rhythm until the quarter final.
 
If Greeks find a way to turn some free shoots into points, nobody can beat them.

On the other side, if we keep shooting like we do, we don't stand a chance.

Our main problem are our point guards (Zisis, Kalabokis, Kalathis) and our small forwards (Perperoglou, Kaimakoglou, Fotsis). At the moment, they can't score around the arc no matter what.

Altogether these six guys had: 2/17 3pt shoots.

What's really bad about it is most of them were free shoots...
 
It's a pitty that we didn't win this game. I am totally against 'choosing' opponents.

However, I'll have the chance to see the Quarter final since I'm going to Poland on Friday!!!!

I can say no Papaloukas no win for Hellas, you guys are badly in need of a pg, Spanoulis playing like Navarro in Spain. Borousis(sorry if i'm mistaken with his name) was acting like he is disturbed with his teammates. Somethings are not just ticking right for now. Your team chemistry are going down with the losses you had.

But still, you are my strongest favorite. I believe you'll be stronger on the quarter finals.
