This thread is to share all the possible informations and analyses about the 4 teams:
1-Lebanon (Leading by Fadi El khatib and followed by the experienced players like Brian Beshara,Ali Mahmoud,Rony Fahed,Omar Turk,Jean Abdelnour...with the new abroads joining from the NCAA,Omar krayem,Ali Kanaan, Daniel Faris and the new naturalized player Jackson Vroman.
I believe that our chances is really good to top this group without underrating the Jordanian Team whom also is formed by experienced international players like Sam Daghlas,Zaid El khas,Ayman Idais,Rasheim Wright with a combination of new talented players like Jamal Abu Shamala,Zaid Abbas,Moussa Awadi. The Jordanian team will suffer certainly on position 4 and 5,and this is one of their old-new problems that even Coach Mario Palma was talking about it,they will be relying on their coherent defense and well-organized offense.
2-Jordan,coached by the well experienced coach Mario Palma with a big hope to enter the Semi Finals for the first time after the big disappointment in the last Asian Championsip in Tokushima. The team is been training together for almost 3 years without any radical changes, they even used their local champion Zain to be a test for the Jordanian National Team in all the international tournaments which served the NT and Coach Palma to keep their players grouped, this is one of their advantages over the other teams, training together for a long period is certainly a benefice.
3-UAE,is a small team,we haven't had any tough games vs that team except for the famous game back to the Asian Championship 2001 when we beat them by 1pt from 2 free throws made by Fadi El khatib (if am not wrong) which allowed us to enter the eight finals and then the semis and the first final ever vs China with a ticket to land a spot in the World Cup at Indianapolis.
Last game vs UAE was in the Asian Championsip 2007 which ended 106-64 for Lebanon.
4-I do not have much details abt Indonesia except for Riyadi vs Satria Muda's game in the Asian tournament for clubs last month. We haven't had any game on the NT level against Indonesia.
The last games btw Jordan and Lebanon on the NT level were most in favor of the Lebanese National Team : (starting by 2005)
Waba Championship 2005
Lebanon vs Jordan 90-74
2005 King Abdullah Tournament :
(1st Round) :Jordan vs Lebanon 78-69
(Semi Finals) : Jordan vs Lebanon 77-91
Asian Championship 2005 (1st Round)
Lebanon vs Jordan 69-59
Jones Cup 2007
Jordan vs Lebanon 72-68
Waba Championship 2008
Lebanon vs Jordan 75-64
Friendly Games: 2-2
Official Games : 2-0 for Lebanon
