Why are they lucky that Spanish player played for their NT?

I mean, sometimes, hear yourself, if it is joy to you that our NT win titles facing competition who don't have good players then I don't know what to say...

I wish to all other countries that their players are not injured, fully fit and willing to play, same as I wish to my country, so we can have a good championship, good basketball and well deserved winner.
I approve of this Serbian

Next France, donno wats better 1st or second place?

The most important thing is that we certainly won't be third now. We should try and grab the first place!

My hat is off for Pocius - he was a key player during a comeback, both with his defence and ofence. Extremely fast and really annoying Spanish guards with his agressive style.

I was seriously doubting whether Kemzūra was right to choose Pocius over Lukauskis - well, it's obvious now I was wrong with that. Pocius adds different dimension to our team, when everybody else is strugling. He just doesn't settle for jumpshots, but attacks the target - and his defence was perhaps even more important than ofence!

P.S.: Superb atmosphere in Vilnius' streets after the win! Some crazy guy was shouting from his car "We'll be the champions!". It's still highly unlikely, but at least this team has shown it can beat anyone any day. And that's already something.

I don't matter who will face us in eightfinals. They are going to sweep us...

Nah.. remember the last time, you lost a couple games in group bus still managed to grab the gold.. nothing is over until its over

The level?

the G.L loby.

Seriously even if we end up knocked out without a medal,I wouldn't mind if we beat Spain.:D

....could be a comfort....or could turn out to another humiliation... I don't know right now :(

If he hadnt played last year and he was very close not to they wouldn" even passed the group stage. As I told before here Pau Gasol is the player who did made the difference last year without him Spain is completely different team. Thats my point .

It´s terrible !!!!!!!
You´ve got to search in very old archives to see 2 losses in a row (USA & France) and after a victory lose again (3 of 4)...and hoping not to fail again tomorrow!!!!!
Last quarter was simple unacceptable, we don´t have bench at all, with only 6 players at a decent level you can´t win a match....¿Who are Fran Vazquez and San Emeterio? I´m really dissapointing right now
Now, if we can reach the eight finals is really a hard way ¿Turkey at home? ¿Greece and its power?
This is the end of an era I´m afraid:(

Actually, they lost back-to-back games last year:

3/9/2009--94:72 exhibition lost to Lithuania (ironically) in Vilnius

7/9/2009--66:57 opening match lost to Serbia at the Eurobasket Championship in Warsaw.

As far as three of four losses, you've got to go back five years to the Belgrade Eurobasket...

18/9/2005--85:77 lost to Israel
23/9/2005--101:85 win over Croatia
24/9/2005--74:73 lost to Germany
25/9/2005--98-68 lost to France

The problem is Spain needs new people. I don't want to watch more Garbajosa and Mumbrú in the NT, i.e.

And last year, Spain won Slovenia in the first group stage to "re-born". In this WC... New Zealand?

I think that loss against Lithuania was a turning point, not just a loss, even a sweep I remember watching it with sadness, I think it was the first time that I saw that team completely dismantled, even though it was only a firendly, but you could see that the team lacked a good strategy

I hope a reborn of Sergio Rodriguez in Real Madrid.

That's totally right, and i don't understand why people don't recognize it (in spain, I mean). And I feel absulutely happy of our gasoldependence, and proud of him.

I really wished he had a summer off, but our NT is affected, remember last summer he didn't play, Belgrado 05, and we didn't got a medal.
