Angola looking to nail down a second-round berth for the third straight WC. Can their young big men match up with Ayon?

battle for 4th in my opinion could be a de facto elimination game, don't see either beating Australia, going with Mexico in a tight one.

winner most likely earns the right to get smoked in the final 16 round. if angola remembers the 2010 final 16 game (121-66) they might think twice about winning this game.

You know nothing. Those guys of Angola play basketball with more effort and passion than any other team in the world cup. I bet that going through to the 2nd round and playing against the USA would mean a lot for their team and for the country itself.

relax i wasn't being serious. 23 other teams might argue with you about the effort and passion part.

Are you serious? You should watch the games of the Philippines against Croatia, Greece and Argentina and tell us who play basketball with more effort and passion..

Another very close game today... I'm going to go with Mexico and expect Jorge Guiterrez to play a very good game.

I just hope none of Gutierrez or Ayón get 4 (and even less 5) fouls, Mexico's level drop dramatically when one of them is out. >__<

Two teams I like. I'll pick Mexico because they can shoot consistently from deep, which is not the case of Angola (except for Moore maybe). I like that kind of exotic fixtures!

Mexico just completed 14-0 run coming off of Angola's TO. I just started watching, so I missed what happened with Cipriano..

Looks like our guys just found their rhythm back just before the break. I bet there is a break-down in the 3Q again though.

At last someone appart from Gutierrez, Ayón & Cruz is sort of trying to step up: Martinez.

He fell on his knee early in the game (say after 5'), a knee partly injured before the game...
Angola playing rather well despite a number of costly mistakes. Mexico shooting too many 3s, most of the time those are rushed...
I'd like to see Ayon play in Europe instead of moldering on a bench in NBA someday. He would wreak havoc I'm sure.

Edit: Ayon, Gutierrez and Cruz have played 20'.... it doesn't seem very reasonable.

i bet Mexico+1 without knowing about Mexico, Mexicans or Mexican basketball. But yeah, GO MEXICO!

Well they're the defending FIBA Americas Champion (2013) as well as the 2014 Centrobasket Championships :)

Their basketball NT has come a long way to where it is now these last couple of years

That's the only thing i know when i made the bet (buzzer beating champ right?) that said, thanks Mexico!
