Spain in a must win situation and New Zealand is just the right opponent, but looking to bounce back from the loss to Lithuania.

Aug. 19, 2006--15th FIBA World Championship; Hiroshima, JPN (86-70, ESP)

It's going to be a mission, but don't count the Kiwis out mate, I hope they will dig deep and upset Spain, for me, The Tallblacks by 1 point.;):)

I voted for New Zealand for obvious reason.. but Spain will win this one for obvious reason as well.. of course, like I said in the Day 1.. anything can happen and upsets is always in the table...

Anyway, just a little trivia here... New Zealand get to play the defending champions in both FIFA World Cup (Italian football floppers) and FIBA World Championship (I read that some people in European forum of IBN that Spaniards are big time floppers in basketball)... while Spain losing their openers in both World tourneys...

All world will be waiting for another Spain loss, but it is highly unlikely ;/ Go All Blacks - make those babies cry again. It was fun to watch when JCN started to cry and lie down on the flour after he realized that Spain is fuc_ed.

I could just imagine how those horrible Spanish basketball commentators react after that loss:D..

The poor kiwi buggers are going to feel the Spanish backlash from yesterday

I'm supporting New Zealand on this one

I still don't forget the WC in 2006

Yesterday, at half time I had the same feelings as last year´s Serbia-Spain match:I knew we could not win France
The situation is very similar to last Eurobasket, today we´ll suffer to win NZ as we did to GB, the problem for today.......We don´t have Pau:(
However, I think we should win clearly:o

I'm hoping that the Lads from across the Tasman are able to pull of this amazing upset however, I'm sure that the Spaniards will bounce back and ensure that they come up with the "W".

Just like their cousins across the Tasman Sea (Aussies), Kiwis will always put up a fight until the end and ensure that all of their bullets are used.

As we have seen on the first day of action, anything can happen in major sporting events such as this and the perfect example is the Aussies coming close to a defeat in the hands of rising Middle Eastern Basketball Nation: Jordan.

I'm predicting for the All Blacks to come up with a 5 point lost.

Hey, take it easy, man. If you don't, maybe you won't live long enough to see Lithuania beating Spain. Stress is a bad thing.

Spain are overrated in every sport.

In formula 1 with Fernando Alonso. In tennis with rafael nadal. In football with barfelona and their NT.In Basketball as welll. Moto GP no different as well.

Arrogant nation, hope new zealand smack them by 20 sthg.

If you are proud of your country when it doesn't win, you are what, a patriot? I you are proud of your NTs when they win you are arrogant.

I'm the first on criticizing my team or my players when they do something wrong, but it just doesn't seem fair to say that they are overrated when they are actually winning and proving to be among the best in those sports. Rafa Nadal is the number 1 because his results, and the football and basketball teams are the current Europe and (to the moment) World champions because they earned it ON THE COURT. If they have managed to be the best how can they be overrated?

New Zeland is the one man team they have no chance yet again this is basketball and everything is possible:D
