France showed great game against world champions Spain tonight

but i'm betting on the possibility that either Spain threw the game or France players will not be in full physical strength after the game tonight and Lebanon wins.
besides i just want lebanon to win. lol

so what do u think people ?

I have voted for Lebanon as france is such unpredictable team

i voted for lebanon since we showed great level especially in efes cup. Maybe today we didn't bring our best performance but i am pretty sure if we bring our A game we are able to upset France gd luck!

i voted for france, but my instincts say Lebanon might win the game..
i predict a close game and france win..

my mind says.. hopefully Lebanon rests fadi, rony, vroman and mat tomorrow, then we will be much fresh and ready to face NZ on Tuesday...
the bench players will get some time to play as well and we will be ready for a long tournament..

my heart says, let us repeat history and make some toast out of those all-naturalized french team.

close game, 50-50, despite France's win today. I predict a low score, something like 55-60 pts for each team.
Voted for France :)

France has more athleticism than Lebanon and that is a great advantage since both teams have the same run'n'gun style.Sorry to say (because I'm a fan) but Lebanon will lose tomorrow-or today (depending on your time zone)

all styles of play can be countered, and coah Tab can sure counter and defeat whatever strategy the french might throw at us,
i'm confident that we can make a big result tommorow ;)

if we can't stop batum tell me who will stop fady el khatib :D i vote for lebanon all the way

We can win but we need to play more inside, with the same spirit with high percentage on free throws we will win.

no need to stop anything.
i will still be happy even if we lose the next 4 matches.
but we are the underdogs i am sure we will make it to round 2
when the draw of the groups was made everyone said we will lose all 5 games
but we already have a 1-0 record :D and i am glad :D
1 win is enough for me. but i am sure we will go far in this tournament. and if not. the future is ours . it's our 11th year as a participating national team. and we already made it 3x to the world championship.

<<rip antoine shoueiri>><<lebanese fans will know what i am talking abt>>

<<rip antoine shoueiri>>

A translation please?

president antoine shoueiri. a lebanese business man, invested in the Sagesse team 5 million dollars a season, and led to a 3x victory in the asian clubs championship. and since then we have actual Lebanese professional basketball
he died this year.
google Sagesse and u'll know why basketball is important to Lebanese.
Sagesse now is not even a final four team in the Lebanese League, so imagine how much the game in lebanon advanced because of this man's investement, he pushed others to invest as well.

Run & gun? you serious ? We are playing close to the 24" as collet can't smell run & gun play style in any of his teams.

That's one of the reason why he decided to switch de colo with albicy, as we needed a playmaker who was able to handle the pressure and keep the ball if needed.

We run the fast break like any other teams, but we are far from being the best for that.
Run and gun playstyle would just kill us

As for tomorrow's game, as said above, we are too unpredictable to deserve the favorite status.
Today the bench was awesome, but several of the players are either unexperienced or "normally" limited skill wise so one of the important data is the global performance of the starting 5, starting by the de colo - traore axis.

Playing lebanon is a bit like playing belgium, switzerland for us (almost a derby game). We always face some sort of extra motivation from the other team, and the turkish crowd will be most likely behind them (fair enough, we had their support today ^^).
Just like for spain today, we have some revenge to take, even if it's only a sport :p
