First of all hi everyone!

I've been reading here during the championship, and even just reading was enough to bore me because of those referee arguments,
I have some sympathy for Puerto Rican fans, cause they've lost both games so close, and i accept today is also referee was on our side a little, Kerem Gönlüm's ball was so clear indeed, and we also know the Greek game too,
but still you're talking about the free throws and more, you hit 3 pointers a lot, thats your gameplan, to speed up the tempo, and to get off balance 3 pointers, thats why you dont get free throws a lot, besides whenever Ömer Aşık got the ball around the rimp, right at the second you fouled him cause you know how weak he is on the line. So lets accept referees decisions were more likely on our behalf, but nothing is stolen from you, thats the game, you cant just manage to run every game perfect, refs are also human,

And moreover I can't believe how some Greek fans (not all of them) can even talk about the referees:) Somebody has just appealed against the referees who managed your game, and right after you found the same one when you were playing against us, and you're still crying out:) Thats unbelievable,

So, i say, lets just talk more basketball here,

Today was an invaluable day for us, it's been a great practice, We now more experienced how to handle against a team can really shoot, and hopefully learned a lot from our mistakes, and we've also realised not to trust Ersan that much, cause with all those talents he has, we've seen that he's not adequately mature enough to handle every game, therefore we really need Hido to do something, play like he played today. And I think our staff will do what it takes and warn Ersan to stay in the game as a team, and not to lose his part on that team, and remind thats not NBA, every ball is so valuable. Tanjevic would explain those on his way:)

As for Puerto Rico, i really enjoy watching them, I wish they would have a player like Ersan or Velickovic, maybe Lorbek, both inside and outside scoring with rebounding, and with Arroyo, i think they would be capable enough to manage almost everything..

Good first post...

Other thing, I don't know why here in this forum they hate or I don't what always put Puerto Rico losing, look the poll, I mean c'mon, show some respect to Puerto Rico.

because most people don't even know where PR is. and most people are not old enough to remember what PR have done in 2002 and before (victory over the USA team, Spain and more convincingly Yugoslavia in 2002)

I was actually very worried about this game. with a help from refferee or not the team managed to pull this one.

About Puerto Rico, i think you guys have a chance against LTU(with Arroyo's rejoinment) , because you never give up . you need to be a level further on the defensive end tho

I dont know why urkish fans say Turkey played a bad game, they underestimated Puerto Rico, etc.

Turkey shot 86 points against Ivory Coast

Turkey shot 65 points against Russia

Turkey shot 76 points against Greece

Turkey shot 79 points against Puerto Rico

If anything, you guys had a great game today.

Defensively speaking, Puerto Rico is the fastest team youve faced, we just have the style to beat you.

The turks also looked drained today.

If we get to face you next time, it will be with Carlos Arroyo the one that knows Turkoglu the best. Until we meet again turks.

Because we didn't motivate ourself for this match after Greece match.Puerto Rico players were the fastest team we faced until now, yes.But Puerto Rico was the worst defensive team we faced until now. That's normal that we scored 79 points.I would like to meet Puerto Rico again but it doesn't look possible:)

Puerto Rico is a very dangerous team and on any given day can play with anybody. The Lithuanian team will have to play its best to beat Puerto Rico.

:)

I haven's seen the game, but it's quite possible we really got help from the refs. It's too bad that it happened versus PR, a team I always like. You cannot extrapolate this to all the games we've played so far, though, it would be a crime.

PR is one of those mentally weak teams despite all the talents. I think it wasn't so much the points the refs took away from them, it was more the effect on their brains. Just my opinion.

But they did get robbed a few points, the last shot was questionable, but particularly at the end of the 3rd when they were up by 9, 2 questionable fouls later it was a 3 point game. There's no denial that affected them (as would everyone) mentally.
