may i ask what happened to papanikolau?he was the most talented guy after all of his age...where is he? don't tell me on a καφενειο please

calathes played good today

i think this guy needs to get some confidence, today obviously we were the winners from the beginning so calathes had more confidence and did some pretty decent stuff

but he's young, he has time to improve himself

He should't go to Olympiacos. He should stay to ARIS or to go even to a weaker team to play for.
As Papas did. Papas played many games. How many games Papanikolaou played with Olympiacos? Only few minutes.

i agree self confidence is so important after all

believe he was a very good shooter ,then in OSFP dropped to 3 ppg.

Perseus can i ask something?

After what you said about Greece vs France game, that both teams wanted to win, and for Sigalas that he was a great shooter, i wonder how many punches on your head you suffered from Fanis Christodolou defence on you. :D:D

I am joking of course. No bad feelings ok? :D

Papanikolaou did the whole pre-WC preparation with the NT. I guess that Kazlauskas realised that we did not need an SF behind Perperoglou, Printezis (?? ). In the season before last Papanikolaou played the grand total of 12 seconds for Aris. Last season OK he did not play in crucial games but he did play in Euroleague and League games, not as much as Pappas for Kolossos for obvious reasons.

Ι think that only Papas has the skills to make a good carrier.
Papanikolaou i don't know. Bogris ahm... The same. Some how i don't believe in these players. I hope am gonna be wrong.

There is no sane professional basketball player or coach that would lose a game deliberately imo. Teams do not build momentum by losing games. In particular the Greek NT cannot take any more psychological blows. Just look at them.
After all, past competitions have proved that dropping games is not a wise tactic. See PR NT in Athens 2004....

Besides, Turkey might end up facing Flop NT if Lebanon have their way....:p

Everytime WE didn't choose opponents and won we lost the very next round.
Last year only we lost and ended up with the medal whereas France lost.
Though last year we weren't just trying to lose,it was some players who just ..didn't try so much. And Bourousis said this himself.
Hope they do it this year as well.

20 sec before the end ,France was 1 and Spanoulis hit 3 and then last sec De colo 2 and tell me that these are the 2 players out of the fixing?

When Sigalas was in Papagou he was a great shooter.

no bad feelings

he's in Karpenisi getting prepared with Olympiacos.

Kazlaouskas said he was not satisfied with his improvement from last year, and frankly who would be.This move to Oly did only bad to him,and now with the signing of Keselji I don't see Ivkovic showing a lot of trust and using him much.. Maybe if he was named Papanikolic..

Signing to Oly also didn't do good to Sloukas.Too bad he didn't get on loan to AEK as he wanted. One more year with no playing time for him now.

Sigalas was extraordinary shooter. Respect

I agree... but like sofo I think that that his weaknesses 'outshine' his positives.... No shooting ability plus turnovers. I don't think that he can offer much against a compact defence in terms of shooting like DD, Spanoulis, Zisis.
Within the next 2 years his shooting would be perfect. As for turnovers...are you talking about Spanoulis? :D

i was thinking the best thing they can do is after the rankings new draw ,so nobody will try to cheat.

C'mon post the new thread Russia-Greece..
Something tells me that this is gonna be one of the most shameful posts in the history of WC.
Mark my words.
