For his height he has a good 3pts shoot. But unfortunately he can't play very well as a center under the basket. He lacks of movements for his position.
Shortisanitis if he was good from charity line he would be the first scorer for Greece cause he win a lot of fouls. But he waste them.

We have to developed the inside game and the drives as well. We wont get very far on this tournament if we still play so soft and try so many attempts from 6,25 line.

I don't think that you will put up stiff competition with bifteki boy Vougioukas Remember that once Bourousis starts nailing threes from as an SG/SF one after the other

I TOTALLY AGREE.

Only Printezis isn't so soft player but he looks so nervous with the ball in his hands.
And sofo wins so many fouls with his strength but he is tragic from the charity line.
It was a miracle VS Slovenia in 2009 that he was good in free throws and won the game and the bronze medal almost on his own.

impressed with calathes and kaimakoglou today. they were our best players yesterday also. not sure what it says that our "star" players like bourousis and sofo are playing horribly and those at the end of our bench play the best...

Where is Vasiliadis guys? We could use his good shooting skills.
I would prefer him instead of Perpe (the meetball) and Glyniadaki instead of Vougioukas (Huge meetball)

I agree... but like sofo I think that that his weaknesses 'outshine' his positives.... No shooting ability plus turnovers. I don't think that he can offer much against a compact defence in terms of shooting like DD, Spanoulis, Zisis.

I like Perperoglou. Good shooting, hi IQ drives to the basket and passes well. Vougioukas on the other hand is OK at best. He is heavy and too soft for the highest level. Thats my opinion, maybe I'll get proven wrong... I agree with you that Glyniadakis or even Mavrokefalidis would have been a better acquisition to our NT than Vougioukas.

Koufos is a huge topic and one that I don't like talking about. A great talent that had the prospect of becoming great. In his college year and in his first tournament with the NT he was agile, good shooting, blocking, rebounding constantly. In the NBA his coach made him muscle up, play deeper into the post and as a result he lost that flexibility and sweet stroke shot that he had. Very disappointing . I think that one/two years with Ivkovic or Obradovic in Greece will make him better.

shooting is a matter of practise...i suppose our "stars" don't see the reason to push themselves to the limit since they earn so money...but calathes?i remember even sigalas became a good shooter after practising(the lack of his talent was memorable) but he did it...how about them?

It's something even Obradovic can't fix it with DD.
He has been told that if he can end his drive to do it. But he always split out the ball even if he can. Maybe he is not so smart and he don't know that.
