It's not exaggerating to say China and PR are unlikely rivals. Proofs:

Anyway this is the most important match of this group IMO. Puerto Rico is desperate for a first win while China wants to revenge a 16-point loss earlier this month in New York City. Whoever wins this game can very well squeeze into the quarterfinals.

Compared to the New York game, Puerto Rico will miss Ayuso, Arroyo and/or Balkman (I think?) for various reasons, big losses indeed. But trying to contain guys like JJ Barea can be a major challenge. Expect guys like 205cm Sun Yue or 205cm Zhou Peng to chase that midget around at least during mismatches as China will undoubtedly go zone. Inside the paint, Yi had been an animal the last 2 games against short centers but last time in New York he struggled mightily against PJ Ramos, who played a season in where else -- China. Other than Ramos China does have height advantages in other positions and hopefully the outside jumpers can fall tomorrow. And finally, even though I'm not positive about China's chances, I'd like to challenge K2 to a signature bet once again just for the heck of it. :D At least to prove that the rivalry exists.

PS: Mods please add a poll.

I would love to... but... sadly...

But believe me, our minds are with the team...
And oh yeah... it's ON!!

But since i won our last bet... I also want to include ur avatar in case i win the bet :D

I'll honor the bet whenever I come around again. ;)

I didn't know these teams have such a friendly relations;);)

I hope China win this game but yes it's hard. Why you're not positive about China's chances ?

OK fine. The worst case scenario is I'll just disappear for a while. Like you.

Stay alive man, especially if China wins :D

PS: Someone (rik) add a poll please! Sorry I forgot. And STFU Lewis :D

Winner of this game will have the inside track to the next round, so there's a lot on the line.

Let's Go Puerto Rico

Let's Go Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico can't let the poor officiating in the last game distract them from winning the game. Other players have to contribute, Barea and Ramos can't make the whole game.

¡Vamos pa' lante Puerto Rico! ¡Pa' atrás ni ma pa coger impulso!

Good observation. PR players always get distracted by the officials. Every team gets some bad calls occasionally, and PR always let's that bother them.

Puerto Rico has some of the most talented players on their team every single year. They're always very tough. The question for them every year is whether or not they can make plays and (like Hayamate said) not rely on Barea.

I think PR will win in a tough game.

China : Puertorico = 49% : 51%

sure it is a hard game, but u knw in WC every game is not a easy game. if china can not beat puertorico, they can forget the next round , same they do not deserve to go to next round.

Like I expected, 6'9'' Sun Yue is on that midget Barea on top of key (also China went zone as expected)

China doing a great job on defensive rebounds.

17-7 China

PR matching better with China, gets to 3 points, Vassallo been good.
If Balkman wanted playing time, he will get it this game :D

As if the rivalry doesn't need additional punches, Wang Shipeng just got one elbow on the neck

PR making a big run, overtaking the lead, Vasselo playing well. Yi did take a breather though.

I thought Balkman won't play?

Wang ZZ schooling Barea, 21-20 end of 1st.
