Most of us think that group B is considered as death group. Spain,Serbia,Turkey,Germany,Italy and Iceland. I think that Spain and Serbia will play for the top seeds and there will be a challange between Turkey,Germany and Italy for the other two spots. I dont see a chance for Iceland but if Iceland gets a win it will be a very bad impact for the team who losses to Iceland. Also Turkey and Italy may suprise us. Turkey will go with young players and Enes Kanter and Ömer Aşık are not playing for Turkish NT so Italy has more chance for suprises. Nevertheless 5 of the 6 teams in the group (no offence to Iceland) have very good players and are in the top 10 teams of the Europe.

What are your opinions about the Group B? Who has chance for the top seeds and which team out of the 5 team will not make it out of the group?

I think Germany as a host will 95% pass the group and i honestly believe it's actually up to the other 4 teams, for which one early game can set their minds, cohesiveness etc. for the rest of the tournament. Germany might be considered as the weakest of that 5 team group by mayority, I disagree here and basicaly predict this group is even more screwed than most people imagine after watching 15 minutes of Italian offense (nothing else than that, but still a helluva offense)

Damn, I knew the group was tough, but had forgotten who were the teams and how tough it is... it's ridiculous, esp when compared to other groups. We'll probably not make it from here.

One up side to every tough group - situation after is a bit lighter (for those who come out alive:)).

Only thing I can say, I wish Turkey was in group A.
Daily performances are very important in this group. Match schedule is also not on our side.
Italy first game followed by Spain, Germany, Serbia and Iceland.
It is very critical for us to win against Italy. We need to win at least 2 games to have a chance to qualify.
I hope we can do this...

Italy-Turkey will be a sort of knockout game!

win or go home!

Serbia will not make it thru group

you have the best team like chemistry, deep and talent in this group IMO!

also the best coach!

but also the worst schedule of the group, first day spain, second day germany that will have won easily the first game against iceland!

Serbia and Spain are the favourites for the first 2 seeds but i wouldn't surprise if Italy finally shows its force and takes 1st or 2nd spot in the group... also Turkey and Germany are very solid and so dangerous given their size under the boards.

I don't think Iceland can win a single game but who knows... they're not that bad afterall.

silver medal last year?
if you would ask the serbs after the group phase last year what they think about their coach and their team majority would say they are unsatisfied.
some things clicked after that and they won the silver..
but that doesn't make Đorđević a better coach then Pianigiani for example.
Flemming is also more experienced between the two, Ataman as well. hard to tell if better but definitely more experienced.

I think that aside from Island any team can beat any team in any game.
Also, the first three places will guarantee a place for the quarter finals since group A is not very strong. Aside from France that is. If you end up forth, play France and loose. Then you are out in the top 16 and can say bye bye at the Olympics.

I am not so sure that Spain and Serbia will dominate the group. I think it will be more equal than some suspect.

You are right about the Germany's home court advantage but Turkey has a similar kind of advantage due to the 5 million Turks living in Germany. (and we know the result of the championships where Turkey is host)Also if Italy enters the tournament strong than Group B will be more messed up. Germany and Turkey are good teams with home court advantage. Serbia and Spain are no doubt winner teams with good players.(ı dont know their performances in preparation games but still they can always win against anybody anytime) and with all these comments Italy is coming strong too. Oh boy this group will be so messed up.:)

There's plenty of Serbs in Germany as well.

Crowd will not influence the games... there are plenty of experienced players in this group, i doubt they can be conditioned by opposite team fans.

I just checked it out, counting in the ancestry as well as immigrants the numbers are aprox 3 millions Turks and 700.000 Serbians. Needless to say both teams should have some loud support. Spain and Italy will find themselves in an unfavourable position there, we'll see how much of an impact that might have. It certanly isn't something to entirely neglect here, Croatia reached 4th place getting wings from their fans in 2013 and Finland exceeded expectations as well.

i dont think fans will have any influence on players i dont expect Serbia to dominate group i expect just enough to pass a group maybe 2-3 wins
