Although I believe that Spanoulis will have a good career as a coach, I think he is very inexperienced to juggle two things at the same time. Having said that, I also believe that he has the gravity to rally all the top players around him, which should (in theory) be enough for us to qualify for the Olympics.

Meh, these things happen and it's not like professional athletes are great thinkers that are impervious to biases. We (as a nation) should start focusing on more important things.

It happened once with Calathes, it's not going to happen again in the forseeable future unless a true exceptional case comes along.

According to this (https://www.makthes.gr/o-gkalis-psilose-i-istoria-toy-18chronoy-kosta-koyfoy-5014), Koufos got the greek passport in July 2006, when he was 17 years old (born in 1989).

Can't see your reasoning. Dorsey played for Greece U20 team. Had a Greek passport ever since. Mother has a Greek background. He always had the right to get a Greek passport by law. Just didn't need it then. Doesn't seem far fetched to me. Was surprised that he was playing as a naturalized player to begin with. Quite sure that the Greek federation is still pushing for this.
Would be amazing to see the Olympiacos guard rotation of Sloukas, Dorsey, Walkup and Larentzakis together with Giannis. Coached by Spanoulis. The chemistry will be good.
