17 free throws for spain 7 for usa.
even against usa spain has 50 percent more free throws than other team
spanish players falling down like chickens

What a tight and great game .SPAIN losing by only 1point. SPAIN play better in second half but don't forget that they played at home with their thousands of fans .

I suppose that was the best result for the fans of world championship. A close game where either side could win it. I have to admit I only watched a few minutes of the game since streaming was really bad but to me that is the best result for basketball.
It doesnt matter if it was won by USA or Spain. Now we look forward for the real match at world champsionship.

I don't know what to think, I guess it's ok, a loss by 1 point, either team could won, not bad result. And the last play, I'm going to think that Scariolo did it on purpose so he didn't give kriczweski any clue about his strategy in the last possesion, because that play was godddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddamn awful. Overall too manymissed jump shots, which can happen, but Scariolo should work on what happend on the start, because 4 minutes without scoring is unsustainable.
Ovarall im dissapoint, but not too much

Yes true, Rudy is taking some awful bad shot which he learned in NBA. He needs to come back to Europe. We cant waste his talent.

So you're blaming the NBA for his poor shot selections? So if his stat line were 27 pts., 13 rebs., and 10 assts., would you credit the NBA for making him a better player? Dude, don't look for excuses to explain his bad play. Individuals are responsible for their shortcomings, not any particular league. If that weren't the case, what explains Marc Gasol's (a NBA player) positive contributions during the game?

The decline of Team USA ...

The decline of Team USA ...

It's great to see that the basketball powerhouses such as Spain and Lithuania are consistently pushing the USA to the brink of defeat. Though Team USA does not have the same quality as two years ago, the team is still has plenty of depth with a lot of their players being the main player on their ball club.
I can't imagine the USA taking out the World Championships but if they do win the gold it be would be by the thinnest of margins. I could imagine a repeat of 2002.
